IRAS to claw back S$60 million from private property buyers who used '99-to-1' scheme to reduce ABSD "The '99-to-1' arrangement is a tax avoidance arrangement used by some property buyers to reduce the rightful Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty payable on the purchase of a residential property," says Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

Goh Wee Sin, 51-year-old sole shareholder and sole director of Your Choice Catering Pte Ltd (“YCCPL”), has been convicted of Income Tax and Goods & Services Tax (GST) offences:
- 6 counts of Income Tax evasion resulting in $222,667 in taxes undercharged
- 4 counts of GST evasion resulting in $238,551

Goh managed and operated a coffeeshop business (under the name “688 Eating House”) as the main tenant. The business included five food stalls (seafood zi char stall, mixed vegetable rice stall, fish soup stall, Muslim food stall and noodles stall) which were jointly-owned and operated by Goh and his wife.
