Quick reminder for business owners with a 30 June year-end: your ECI is due this coming Wednesday, 30 Sep!

A lot of people think small companies don't need to file, but you can only skip it if your revenue is S$5M or below AND your ECI is nil. Just one isn't enough.

One question we get asked a lot by business owners: "Why do we need so many documents when bank statements already show the money moving?"

Here's the thing, a bank statement only shows that money moved, not what it was for.
Invoices, receipts and contracts are what actually prove a transaction, so you're covered if IRAS or an auditor ever comes asking. And if you're GST-registered, no invoice means no GST claim.

Your AGM and your Annual Return actually run on two completely separate clocks. One depends on your financial statements. The other depends on your financial year end.
