This Vesak Day, may we find beauty in slowing down, taking a moment to pause, reflect, and realign with what truly matters most.
May this meaningful occasion inspire us to embrace understanding, spread positivity, and continue uplifting one another as we grow together with harmony and gratitude.

Recently, our team joined a corporate sustainability learning journey organized by WWF-Singapore in partnerships with NTUC FairPrice as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen ESG awareness within the organization.
The session provided valuable insights into sustainability initiatives in Singapore, including how to read product packaging labels and eco-certifications, the impact that supporting local products has on reducing our carbon footprint, and the role of community-driven efforts such as eco refill stations, bottle return systems, and other 3R initiatives.
It was also encouraging to learn more about how businesses, communities, and government initiatives are collectively shaping a more sustainable future through practical and accessible everyday actions.
At OA GoC, we believe ESG is not only about long-term sustainability commitments, but also about cultivating greater awareness, responsibility, and conscious decision-making within our teams and daily operations.
As part of our commitment to Partnering Growth and Powering Growth, we will continue to embrace and initiate ESG-related learning opportunities and activities that contribute towards a more sustainable future for our people, businesses, and communities.

Growth is driven by people who continue to step forward and lead with purpose.
We are pleased to share the promotions of Yik Xin to Senior Manager (Tax Compliance & Advisory), and Michelle Sim to Manager (Audit & Assurance). Their progression reflects not only their professional capabilities, but also the trust they have built with clients and the contributions they consistently make within the team.
They have each demonstrated strong leadership in their respective roles, supporting the quality of our work while helping to guide and develop those around them. Their journey is a reflection of how dedication and continuous development come together to create meaningful progress.
At OA GoC, Powering Growth begins with our people. As individuals grow, they strengthen our teams and elevate the value we bring to our clients.
Once again, Congratulations to Yik Xin and Michelle Sim on this well-deserved milestone!

In this post, we’d like to share a little more about the journey behind our CEO, Alan, and what has shaped his perspective today.
At OA Group of Companies, we have always believed that growth is built together.
Alan’s journey in building OA did not start from comfort, but from a clear belief that meaningful work comes from stepping forward, taking responsibility, and continuously improving. Over the years, he has experienced what many in the profession are facing today, from talent challenges to evolving expectations, and the constant need to adapt while staying trusted and relevant. These are not abstract ideas, but realities lived day to day alongside clients, teams, and the wider business community.
That is also why he has chosen to step forward at this point in time.
His perspective has always been grounded in practice, focusing on how work can be done better, how people can grow, and how the profession can stay closely connected to what businesses truly need.
This reflects what we stand for at OA:
- Ownership in taking responsibility and driving meaningful outcomes
- Agility in adapting, improving, and staying responsive to change

Growth is not just about what we achieve, but how we grow together.
Our OA MY team recently came together for a Raya lunch at Irama Dining, dressed in traditional attire. It was a meaningful gathering where we enjoyed good food, great company, and the festive Raya spirit, with plenty of laughter, conversations, and moments that strengthened our bond as a team.
At OA GoC, Powering Growth starts with our people. It is about creating a culture where we feel connected, supported, and proud of the journey we are building together.
We are grateful for moments like these that bring us closer. 🌙✨

OA GoC recently conducted a sharing session at UOW Malaysia, Batu Kawan titled “Inside Singapore’s Job Market.” The session brought together around 30 students from Accounting, Business Management, International Business, and Hospitality programmes.
The session was delivered by our Audit Partner, Ms Beverley Khoo, who shared practical insights from industry experience. Students gained a clearer understanding of employment opportunities in Singapore, the different types of work passes, and what employers typically look for when hiring Malaysian graduates.
Beyond employment requirements, the discussion also covered workplace expectations, cultural differences, and the lifestyle adjustments that come with working across borders. Topics such as commuting options, living arrangements, and cost of living comparisons between Singapore and Johor Bahru sparked strong interest among the students.
In addition to the sharing session, OA GoC also hosted a booth at the university’s career fair, where students had the opportunity to speak with our team, learn more about career opportunities, and gain further insights into working in the corporate services industry.
Through initiatives like this, we continue Powering Growth by connecting students with real industry perspectives and helping them better understand the opportunities and expectations of building a career across borders.
Thank you to UOW Malaysia, Batu Kawan for the opportunity to connect with your students and share industry perspectives.
