Growth begins when we’re willing to challenge what we think we know. 💡

Sometimes, the right mentor doesn’t just teach us something new. They challenge our perspectives, push us beyond our comfort zones, and help us discover areas where we can grow.

In this sharing, we hear how Ronnie’s mentorship encouraged a new way of thinking, going beyond surface-level understanding to develop deeper self-awareness and emotional resilience.

The key takeaway? Come with an open mind, embrace the challenges, and make the most of every learning opportunity.

🥋 As the speaker puts it, think of Rhonny as Master Shifu and ourself as a Kung Fu Panda, ready to learn, grow, and level up!

Because the more willing we are to learn, the more room we create for growth.

We went to taste their food. But what impressed us wasn’t just the food. 👀
Before opening, this new F&B business invited us to try their menu and give honest feedback.
What stood out? They listened, asked questions, and were genuinely open to improving.
Because business isn’t about getting everything perfect from day one.
Good businesses are built by being willing to listen, improve, and keep going. ❤️
From helping them incorporate to watching them get ready to open — we’re happy to be part of the journey. 🤝
Congratulations, and all the best for the opening! 🎉

POV: Your workplace comes with an ice cream department… and the 3 youngest applicants got the job. 🍦😂
Our client surpirsed us with 60 ice creams and we decided to give our youngest “employees” one very important mission:
RUN THE ICE CREAM BUSINESS.
👔 The Boss — rang the bell, went around the office and did some “marketing”.
🧮 The Accountant — counted the 60 ice creams, kept track of the numbers and checked everyone’s “salary”.
🧑🏻‍💼 HR — took care of the “employees”, distributing ice cream AND salaries.
Did they actually sell any?
No. 😂This was purely for fun. But somehow, all 60 were cleared anyway. 🍦👏

Maybe they’re a little young for accounting, HR and business development…
…but they definitely know how to keep the office happy. ❤️
At TnB — where work can be serious, but the people and the moments don’t always have to be.

Work can be productive without being stiff.
People can be professional without being overly serious.
And sometimes, your colleagues’ children can be part of the office too. ❤️

We believe a good workplace isn’t just about getting the work done — it‘s also about creating an environment where people can enjoy the people they work with, have a little fun, and still have a life beyond the desk.
Would you hire these three? 👀🍦

🌕 Bought mooncakes for your clients? Don’t throw away the receipt yet! 🧾

月圆人团圆,事业长长久久。🥮

After Mid-Autumn Festival, it’s time for business owners to tidy up those receipts — especially if you’ve been giving mooncakes, hampers or festive gifts to clients, vendors or staff.

But here’s the important part:

A corporate gift is NOT automatically tax deductible just because it was given to a business contact.

Keep proper records of:
✅ Who received the gift
✅ Occasion
✅ Business purpose
✅ Receipt / invoice
✅ Value of the gift

And if you’re GST-registered, remember that gifts exceeding $200 may have different GST treatment.

Festive gifts are a great way to maintain relationships and show appreciation. ❤️

Just remember: good relationships AND good records go hand in hand.

月圆人团圆,收据也要团圆一下 😂
月饼送完了,收据别丢!📄

🧧 7th Month prayer expenses — can your business claim them as a tax deduction?

You paid for offerings, prayers, food or other 7th Month expenses through the company… 💸

But does that mean IRAS will let you claim it? 👀

Not every business expense is automatically tax-deductible.

Watch till the end to find out what matters when deciding whether your 7th Month expenses can be claimed.

What happens if a director refuses to provide the financial statements? 👀

In Part 1, we talked about why being a shareholder doesn’t automatically mean you can demand confidential company information directly from the accountant.

But what if the director refuses to provide the financial statements?

There are a few things shareholders should consider:

1️⃣ Check whether the AGM and annual reporting deadlines are due
2️⃣ Check the company’s constitution and any additional access rights
3️⃣ If necessary, escalate through a shareholders’ meeting
4️⃣ If there are concerns about misconduct or oppression, seek appropriate professional/legal advice

And one important reminder:

Accountants follow instructions from the authorised representative — not simply whoever owns the most shares.

Shareholders have rights. Directors have duties. And understanding the difference matters.

Would you know what your rights are as a shareholder?

Your business has grown beyond what your current accounting setup can handle

Moving from a sole proprietorship to a Pte Ltd is a big step — and as your business scales, your accounting processes may need to scale with it.

You may already have someone in-house handling the data entry and day-to-day accounting tasks. But as the business grows, things can get more complicated — and one person may no longer be able to handle everything.

That’s where an outsourced accounting team can step in.

From finalising accounts and handling more complex accounting matters to providing professional insights and value-added support, the goal is to give your business the right level of support as you scale.

If your accounting workload is growing faster than your team, this video is for you.

“I Own 100% of the Company. So I Can See Everything… Right?”

I own the shares, so I can ask the accountant for anything… right? 👀

Not necessarily.

Being a shareholder and being a director are two different roles — and they come with different rights and responsibilities.

So if a shareholder approaches the accountant directly and demands the company’s financial statements or confidential information, can the accountant simply hand them over?

This is where many business owners get confused.

So what happens when the director refuses to provide the financial statements? And what rights does the shareholder actually have?

Watch till the end. 👀
