Something that I haven't really shared here before, that I held closely to
Guess it? Yes related to travel π
One of my dreams is to sponsor my parents fully to overseas trips, if possible a yearly thing
And that because growing up, I didn't get to travel with my family...
Family expenses were high with 4 of us (me and my 3 brothers) and my dad is always busy with his humble plumbing business
And this year, I made it possible with my mum.
While my dad couldn't make it this year, I'm grateful to have him available for next year, with my brothers too π
With the year ending, here comes more wishes and goals to fulfill in the following years
And may you fulfilled yours too π

A casual lunch filled with wisdoms and takeaways...
Last friday, I met up with my former course manager from my polytechnic studies, TP BZE for lunch
We stayed nearby and so we met at a convenient place that we were both familar
It had been almost 8 years since I graduated from TP BZE, back in 2014
But when we met, it was extremely casual and comfortable, as we start chatting about our life stories and events...
As I always enjoyed learning from others, especially those ahead of me, I started asking deeper and in-depth questions π€
He did the same, and we opened up on our goals, dreams, family and many personal things...
He also gave me valuable advices, among them includes two of the lessons that constantly stuck with me was FOCUS and having a Life Mentor is different from Niche skillset mentors.
For mentor, this stands out as I realised I do not have a lack of Niche skillset mentors...
I have many skillset mentors back in school, I have mentor for my FYP, for my studies, mentors for my startup/business, mentors for my investment business...
But Life mentor is different. And it's a journey with commitment for both parties..
Hence, I am very glad to have gain these perspectives π
Time flies, and we were so engage that we ended up having a very meaningful 2 hours+ conversation π
It is through conversations like this that we can learn and gain new perspectives.
To connect in person is very different from online too, which I'm extremely grateful to gain wisdoms and new perspectives through our catch up π
Looking forward for more conversations π

2021 has been a year of refreshing start for me as my University studies is officially over.
But in came new challenges ahead, in my investment/finance business, side tech business, physically, emotionally and mentally.
At the start of the year, I thought I was doing well in both my investments/finance business and a side tech business that I was working on with a friend and I overlooked the potential challenges ahead.
In the middle of the year, I felt into a state of self doubt and not putting in the consistent work in the βmoving the needleβ for both my investment and side business.
I spent days not really working and convinced myself I deserved this break...
I felt back into my comfort zone, and stayed there for some time...
I used my side business as an excuse for my finance business, despite my initial goal to manage and work on bothβ¦
At the end of the year, after months of staying in my comfort zone, I took the leap of faith to invest in myself for a change.
I joined a personal development course on self-awareness, but I gained and discovered deeper levels, and gain breakthroughs for myself.
And that is exactly what I needed, to constantly strive and do better, and trust the process.
For my family, my friends, my clients, my team and the people who believed and trusted me to do my best.
Despite the ups and downs, I truly believe that 2021 has brought one of the biggest lessons for me.
Although I've missed my career and side business goals this year, I had experienced major life lessons.
Iβm now way more prepared to take on the challenges ahead, so if you feel that you had a bad year because you didn't achieve your goals, do not be too hard on yourself.
Be your biggest supporter, thanks yourself for being strong and going through this year.
Most importantly note down what you have learnt this year, so you can improve and ultimately achieve the goals you have set for yourself in 2022 and the years ahead?
As I did this collage, I got reminded of life's beauty, and I would like to share with you this one word to encourage you further: βGratitude.
Appreciate what you have and the people who love you.
