A tax return is an annual declaration that every taxpayer submits to the government (FBR). It contains details of the taxpayer's income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and taxes paid or deducted during the tax year. This enables the FBR to determine how much income was earned, how much tax has already been paid or withheld, and whether any additional tax is payable or a tax refund is due.
