Yesterday, ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ผ. ๐—Ÿ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ถ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป, ๐—ฆ๐——๐—•, shared his inspiring journey during the morning talk.

He arrived at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Victorias, in 1960 and stayed for six years. Although he had never initially planned to become a Salesian Brother, he eventually embraced his vocation at the age of 17.

Assigned to Don Bosco, Makati, he helped pioneer automotive training and establish additional programs in electrical installation, electronics, and welding. Through his dedication, the institution continued to grow, providing technical skills to hundreds of students. In 2001, he also initiated a program for farmers.

Bro. Parolin emphasized two important lessons: ๐’๐’†๐’—๐’†๐’“ ๐’ƒ๐’† ๐’‚๐’‡๐’“๐’‚๐’Š๐’… ๐’•๐’ ๐’‡๐’‚๐’„๐’† ๐’‘๐’“๐’๐’ƒ๐’๐’†๐’Ž๐’” because solutions can ๐’‚๐’๐’˜๐’‚๐’š๐’” ๐’…๐’†๐’—๐’†๐’๐’๐’‘ ๐’‘๐’“๐’‚๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’„๐’‚๐’ ๐’”๐’Œ๐’Š๐’๐’๐’” to prepare for life's challenges. He also highlighted the importance of formation in developing not only skilled individuals but also responsible persons.

Bro. Parolin's story reminds us that life may not always go according to our plans, but unexpected opportunities can lead us to a greater purpose.

MARIAN PILGRIMAGE 2026 | Grade 5 Savio, Grade 6 Calasanz & Murialdo

The Salesian Pastoral Animation Office successfully concluded yesterday, October 21, its Marian Pilgrimage at Mary Help of Christians Church, Canetown.

Together, our Grade 5 Savio and Grade 6 Calasanz and Murialdo students gathered in faith to pray the Holy Rosary, offering their prayers and intentions to our Blessed Mother Mary. Through this meaningful pilgrimage, they deepened their devotion to Mary, strengthened their relationship with Jesus, and experienced the beauty of praying together as one Salesian family.

May Mary, Help of Christians, continue to guide, protect, and inspire our young Bosconians to live with faith, love, and a generous heart in serving others.

DBTIโ€“Victorias held a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr. Antonio Molavin, SDB, bringing together the community in faith and prayer. The celebration also acknowledged the presence of Bro. Luigi Parolin, who visited the DBTI community.

The celebration recognized the 60th anniversary of Bro. Antonio Hopida, SDBโ€™s perpetual profession. Having served as a missionary in Papua New Guinea for 20 years, Bro. Tony continues to dedicate himself to God and the Salesian mission. His six decades of religious commitment stand as a testament to a life devoted to faith, humility, and service, inspiring the Bosconian community to live out the Salesian spirit through their own acts of love and dedication.

In todayโ€™s Morning Talk, ๐—™๐—ฟ. ๐—ก๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฎ, ๐—ฆ๐——๐—•, started by inviting everyone to express Godโ€™s love and their love for those around them, giving everyone a cheerful mood to start the day. Then, he presented his topic: โ€œ๐‘ซ๐’๐’ ๐‘ฉ๐’๐’”๐’„๐’ ๐’Š๐’ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ด๐’Š๐’…๐’”๐’•.โ€

Fr. Broderick stated that our founder, St. John Bosco, died in 1888, yet his spirit continues and is very much alive. He then explained the question: โ€œThrough what?โ€

Father shared that worldwide, it is through our Rector Major, Fr. Fabio Attard, SDB, who is the eleventh successor of St. John Bosco. Provincially, it is through Fr. Amelito โ€œMelโ€ Racelis, SDB, our Provincial Superior of the South. Through Fr. Fabio, the Rector Major delegates his authority to a Regional Councillor. For us here, we have Fr. William Matthews. This illustrates that St. John Boscoโ€™s spirit continues through our Salesians today.

Then, Fr. Segovia informed us about Fr. William Matthewsโ€™ upcoming visitation. Lastly, he shared a quote from St. John Bosco: โ€œLet us not be unfair to God and to Our Lady. If we succeed, and if our undertakings are flourishing, we owe it entirely to God and to our good Mother.โ€

In conclusion, todayโ€™s Morning Talk tells us that Don Bosco will forever be present, not only spiritually but also in our values, beliefs, and goals. Though he may be gone, he will always hold a place in every Bosconianโ€™s heart.

The Zatti Friends Club of Don Bosco Technical Institute of Victorias, Inc. (DBTI) successfully conducted its Red Cross Youth (RCY) Training on October 16, 2026, marking a significant milestone as the Zatti Friends officially become the Red Cross Youth Council of DBTI in Victorias City.

Organized through the collaborative efforts of the Zatti Friends Club, the Salesian Youth Movement, and the Philippine Red Cross, the training aimed to strengthen students' knowledge of humanitarian service, leadership, volunteerism, and community involvement.

The activity introduced participants to various RCY programs and initiatives, including the Junior First Aiders Program (JFAP), Pledge 25, Youth Action Program for the Environment (YAPE), and Council Management and Development.

More than a training activity, the event marked a new chapter for the Zatti Friends as they embraced their responsibilities as members of the school's Red Cross Youth Council, committed to promoting health, safety, preparedness, and compassionate service within the school and the wider community.

Through this initiative, DBTI continues to uphold its core values of Reason, Religion, and Responsible Service, empowering young Bosconians to become proactive leaders and responsible volunteers who are always ready to extend a helping hand.

Behind every gripping story is a journalist willing to learn, question, and seek the truth. Don Bosco Technical Institute of Victorias (DBTI) strengthened its campus journalism program through a Journalism Training on October 10, 2026, at Braga Hall, preparing its student journalists for the upcoming competition after years of hiatus.

The training featured three experienced campus journalism trainers: Jenelyn S. Fulo, Master Teacher II and Division Campus Journalism Trainer; Ma. Catherine A. Omori, Teacher III, Campus Journalism Writer, and Regional Accredited Trainer; and Dr. Jessica P. Gela, Education Program Supervisor of the Schools Division Office of Bacolod City, Division Campus Journalism Focal Person, and National Campus Journalism Trainer.

Through their expertise and guidance, participants enhanced their journalism skills and strengthened their understanding of responsible reporting and writing techniques, equipping them to compete in the upcoming DSPC.

The training was made possible through the support of the school administration, particularly Fr. Brodie, who initiated the engagement of the trainers, along with the commitment of the teacher-coaches who continue to guide and prepare the student journalists for the competition.

As DBTI reenters the press conference arena, its young journalists carry forward the commitment to seek facts, give voice to truth, and pursue excellence in campus journalism.
