Withholding taxes arenβt fun, but that money isnβt yours either.
Yes, weβre serious. Weβre not kidding. Itβs not really your money!
Youβre just the withholding agent. Youβre basically acting as a tax collector on behalf of the BIR. Without any service fee. How cruel. π
Now go file that 0619-E!
If your business withheld Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT) during the month, donβt forget to remit it to the BIR and file your BIR Form 0619E on time.
BONUS TIP: Donβt forget to give that Form 2307 to your supplier/payee!

ππππ: βNone of my employees have withholding tax, so I donβt need to file 1601C, right?β
ππΌπΎπ: Wrong. If your business has employees, you still need to file BIR Form 1601C even when there is no tax withheld to remit.
In short, having β±0 tax due does not mean you don't need to file 1601C anymore.
So please make sure your payroll and tax filings are properly taken care of and filed on time. We don't want BIR to collect those penalties from you.

BIR says we need to preserve our books of accounts for 5 years. But our best advice is to preserve them for as long as you can. You might still need them beyond 5 years. It's better to be prepared.
Are your books up to date?

Our next question is:
WILL BIR STILL IMPOSE PENALTIES ON LATE FILING FOR ALL TAX RETURNS DUE TODAY?
BIR is silent on the matter, unfortunately.
