May nag-message sakin recently asking for a quotation.
Normal naman.
So I replied:
โBefore I give recommendations, Iโd love to set a quick meeting first para maintindihan ko yung priorities, needs, and budget mo properly.โ
Then she said ayaw niya ng meeting.
And honestly?
Okay lang naman.
But I also told her:
โThatโs how I do my job.โ
Kasi hindi ako comfortable magbigay nalang basta ng random quotation without understanding the person first.
And I know medyo unusual siya ngayon.
Kasi maraming insurance conversations today parang fast food ordering nalang.
โAnong pinakamura?โ
โMagkano monthly?โ
โSend proposal.โ
Tapos minsan within minutes may quote ka na agad.
But protection doesnโt work that way.
At least not for me.
Because two people can have the exact same age and budgetโฆ
Pero completely different needs.
One person might be supporting parents.
One person might have kids.
One person owns a business.
One person already has existing coverage.
One person may prioritize hospitalization.
Another person may care more about income protection.
So paano magiging pareho yung recommendation?
Thatโs why I always want clarity first before products.
Not because I want to pressure people.
Actually opposite nga eh.
I want people to understand what theyโre getting into.
Calmly.
Clearly.
Without fear.
Without fake urgency.
Without feeling like theyโre being cornered into buying something.
And to be fair, I understand bakit maraming hesitant sa meetings.
A lot of people had bad experiences with aggressive selling.
Yung tipong nagtanong ka langโฆ
Biglang may guilt trip na.
Or parang kailangan mo mag-decide agad habang humihinga ka pa. (Medyo intense minsan no?)
So now, people protect themselves by avoiding conversations altogether.
โQuote nalang po.โ
But honestly?
The goal should not be getting the cheapest quote possible.
The goal should be getting the right protection for your actual life.
Because insurance is personal.
Your responsibilities are personal.
Your future is personal.
And I take that seriously.
Thatโs why I donโt just sell plans.

Pero noong nag-usap kami, may tinanong siya sa akin na hindi ko makalimutan.
โJel, pag nagkasakit ba akoโฆ okay pa rin ba ang lahat?โ
Wala siyang sakit. Sheโs healthy. Everythingโs fine.
Pero yung tanong niya?
Sapat na para mag-sit down kami at tignan kung ano talagang meron siya.
At dun namin nadiscoverโ
May coverage siya.
Pero hindi siya designed para sa kanya.

Mas mahalaga pa โto kaysa sa karamihan ng sales posts na nakikita mo ngayon.
Kasi habang ikawโฆ
nag-iisip kung okay ba lighting mo,
may ibang nagpo-post
na ang tanging laman:
โPromo kami.โ
โDiscount kami.โ
โMas mura kami.โ
Yung totoo?
Hindi sila nagbebenta.
Nakikiusap sila.
And thatโs the problem.
Ang daming naglo-lowball ng sarili nilang value.
Hindi dahil kulang sila.
Kundi dahil takot sila.
Takot na walang bumili.
