Around 1.2 million minimum wage earners in Metro Manila are set to receive a ₱50 daily pay hike starting 18 July 2025, bringing the new minimum wage rates to ₱695 for the non-agriculture sector and ₱658 for workers in agriculture, retail and service establishments with 15 or fewer employees, and manufacturing firms with less than 10 regular workers. This follows the issuance of Wage Order No. NCR-26, the highest increase ever approved by the NCR Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.
