Presenting the Gospel through a business lens : INTRO
In the modern marketplace, we are conditioned to view the world through the lens of Equities, Liabilities, and ROI. We speak the language of "Value Proposition" and "Risk Mitigation," yet when it comes to the most significant transaction of human existence—the state of our own souls—we often resort to archaic or abstract terminology that fails to resonate in the boardroom.
For the accountant, the entrepreneur, or the executive, the traditional presentation of the Gospel can sometimes feel like a "Soft Skill" in a "Hard Science" world. However, at its core, the message of Jesus Christ is a narrative of Total Insolvency met by Infinite Capital. It is the ultimate case study in debt restructuring, leadership succession, and hostile takeovers.
Presenting the Gospel through a business lens isn't just a creative exercise; it’s a necessary Translation of Terms. To reach a professional who lives by the bottom line, we must demonstrate that:
🍀 Sin is not just a moral lapse, but a Systemic Liability that exceeds our total assets.
🍀 Grace is not "cheap mercy," but a Strategic Buyout funded by the Parent Company.
🍀 Faith is not blind luck, but the Ex*****on of a Contract based on the CEO’s proven performance.
By quantifying the "Unsearchable Riches" of Christ into the language of the ledger, we move the conversation from "Religious Theory" to Operational Reality. We bridge the gap between Sunday’s worship and Monday’s metrics, proving that the most successful "Exit Strategy" ever devised wasn't found on Wall Street, but on a hill called Calvary.

🍀 Betrayal and Integrity (When Employees Steal Customers)
📖 God’s Word
In the business world, we call this "poaching" or "breach of non-compete." Pero in the Bible, this is deception and theft. It destroys the "shalom" (peace and wholeness) of the workplace. As Christian leaders, how do we respond to this kind of betrayal without losing our own integrity?
🖋️ Case
The World says: "Business is business. Diskarte lang 'yan. Everyone is looking out for themselves."
The Christian Way: You address it with firmness and truth. Hindi "Christian" ang magbulag-bulagan sa kasalanan. You must have a courageous conversation. It might mean termination and legal action to protect the stewardship of your business. But at the same time, you guard your heart against bitterness. You pray for that person’s heart to change, and you trust that God—as your true Provider—can replace every "stolen" customer tenfold. Hindi kailangang mandaya para umasenso; at hindi rin kailangang gumanti sa maling gawa; God honors the house built on truth and forgiveness.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, I lift up the pain of betrayal to You. It hurts to be deceived by those I have helped. Help me to be "wise as a serpent but innocent as a dove." I trust You as my Defender and Provider. Amen.
➕ Takeaway:
Have you ever experienced this kind of betrayal? How did you handle the situation without letting it harden your heart? What about the other way around, have you stolen customers from your Company? Have you asked forgiveness?

Integrity sa Timbangan (Dishonest Scales)
📖 God’s Word
— Kawikaan 11:1
"Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is His delight" -- Proverbs 11:1
See also 4 same verses in Proverbs 15:27 ; 16:11 ; 20:10 ; 20:23
🎯 POV
Tandaan natin: God is our CEO.
🖋️ Case
The "Hidden Defect" Dilemma: May binebenta kang second-hand equipment o service package.
• The World says: "Let the buyer beware." Hayaan mo silang makadiskubre. Business is business, kailangan mong bawiin ang puhunan mo.
• The Christian Way: Maging transparent ka. Ang "just weight" o tamang timbang ay hindi lang about sa ethics; it's about honoring God with your honesty.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, forgive me po sa mga moments na naging madaya ako—sa oras man o sa trabaho. Give me the heart to be honest even when no one is looking.

"Stewardship vs. Ownership"
📖 GOD's WORD
"The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." — Psalm 24:1
🎯 POV
Sa mundo ng business, laging "ownership" ang focus—my brand, my profit, my empire. Pero as Christians, we are just stewards or managers. Success is not about accumulation; it's about being a good manager of God's assets.
🖋️CASE
The "Surplus" Decision: Sobrang ganda ng sales mo this quarter at may malaking extra profit ka after lahat ng expenses.
The World says: Gamitin mo lahat for expansion agad o kaya bumili ka ng bagong gamit para sa sarili mo as a reward.
You treat the profit as a responsibility, hindi lang basta reward.
🙏Let's Pray..
Lord, I surrender my business to You today. Help me make decisions based on Your wisdom, hindi sa sarili kong takot o greed. Amen.

Let’s talk about Doing Business the Christian Way
1. TOPIC
"The Integrity of the 'Small Things'"
2. God’s Word
"One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much." — Luke 16:10
3. POV
In the business world, we often think integrity only matters during the "big" moments—like signing a multimillion-peso contract or handling a merger. But the Kingdom of God operates on a different scale. Integrity is a muscle. If you don't exercise it when billing for an extra 15 minutes of work or being honest about a minor typo in a report, that muscle will be too weak to hold up when the high-stakes temptations arrive. Character isn't built in the boardroom; it’s built in the "invisible" moments of your daily routine.
4. CASE
The "Accidental" Discount: You’re a consultant and realize you accidentally overcharged a client by P500 last month. They’ve already paid the invoice and didn't notice the error.
The World says: It’s a small "convenience fee" for your time.
The Christian Way: You proactively notify the client and offer a credit on the next invoice or a refund. Why? Because your reputation for honesty is worth more than P500.
5. PRAYER
Lord Jesus Christ, help me to see my work today through Your eyes. Give me the courage to be honest even when it costs me, and the discipline to be faithful in the smallest tasks. May my business be a reflection of Your truth. Amen.
