The UP Filipiniana Dance Group was honored to perform at the “Pagbubukas ng Linggo ng Parangal 2026” held last May 4, 2026 at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium.

Through a vibrant performance inspired by evolving music and movement across generations, we celebrated the enduring spirit of artistry, community, and Filipino excellence—values that continue to shape the UP community.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers for the invitation and for allowing us to be part of this meaningful occasion. Thank you as well to everyone who supported and witnessed our performance. It was a privilege to share our craft in celebration of achievement, service, and honor.

The UP Filipiniana Dance Group was honored to perform at the UP Diliman Office of Student Housing’s “BarriOSHFiesta 2026: Ang Pagbabalik” held last April 30, 2026 at the Molave Residence Hall Grounds.

As part of a celebration that brought together the vibrant residential community of UP Diliman, we shared a performance that reflected the energy, spirit, and creativity of the UP community through dance and movement.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the UP Diliman Office of Student Housing (OSH) for the invitation and for allowing us to be part of this memorable event. Thank you as well to everyone who witnessed and cheered on our performance. It was a privilege to celebrate alongside fellow Iskos and Iskas in an afternoon filled with community and school spirit.

Dance took on a deeper meaning at the International Dance Day Festival held at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, where movement transcended technique and became something almost spiritual.

Happy International Dance Day! 💃🏼

The UP Filipiniana Dance Group was privileged to have been chosen to join the International Dance Day Fest 2026, beginning with the Opening Gala Program on April 22, and continuing with performances on April 23 and 26 at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, where we showcased our love for Jazz dance and presented works in both the Folk Dance and Contemporary Galas.

In our participation, we aimed to share our efforts in Philippine dance, from the preservation and celebration of cultural heritage through our  Ivatan Suite to the exploration of contemporary movement and expression. Our contemporary piece was choreographed and headed by Mr. Rhosam Prudenciado, whose vision guided the work’s creative direction. UP Filipiniana is grateful for the dedication, discipline, and passion that were learned and imbibed through the whole process of creation to presentation. Our Ivatan Suite for the Folk Dance Gala was also accompanied by the beautiful music of the Filipiniana Rondalla headed by Mr. Michael Samaniego. Thank you for sharing this advocacy with us.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers of IDDF 2026 for the opportunity, and to everyone who supported and witnessed our performances. We also express our heartfelt thanks to Mr. JM Cabling, Mr. Ronnie Mirabuena, and Ms. Myra Beltran for their invaluable support and belief. It was an honor to share the stage with such a vibrant community of artists who contributed to the success of this year’s festival.
