📢 BIR Issues RMC No. 107-2025

The Bureau of Internal Revenue has officially ordered the suspension of all field audits and related operations until further notice, as part of its move to strengthen transparency, integrity, and taxpayer protection.

Only specific cases outlined in the circular are exempted from the suspension. The order takes effect immediately upon issuance.

📢 BIR Advisory: Extension of Tax Deadlines due to Super Typhoon “Uwan”

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 101-2025, providing an extension of deadlines for the filing of tax returns, payment of taxes due, and submission of required documents falling due in November 2025.

This extension applies to taxpayers located in areas affected by Super Typhoon “Uwan”, including the National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Regions I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, and VIII.

🗓️ The extension aims to give affected taxpayers more time to comply with their tax obligations while recovering from the effects of the typhoon.

BIR Update: Revenue Regulations No. 24-2025

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued new rules on Creditable Withholding Tax (CWT) for Top Withholding Agents.

Existing CWT Rates remain:
• Supplier of Goods – 1%
• Supplier of Services – 2%

New Provision:
Gross payments to manufacturers and direct importers of:
•Motor vehicles (CBU/SKD units, parts, accessories)
•Medicines & pharmaceutical products
•Solid or liquid fuels and related products

Now subject to 0.5% (½%) CWT instead of the regular rate.

Effectivity: 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or BIR website.
