A young client asked me while I am reviewing his VUL policy.

"Hindi po ba kayo nalulugi since eto lang po yung hinulog ko and if in case magkasakit ako, millions yung matatangap ko? (He was referring to Critical Illness Benefit) Tapos aside from that may iba pa po may investment portion pa and other health benefits? "

I remember not answering his question directly, it's too complicated to discuss the business model of life insurance companies, but I tried in a layman's explanation 🤣.

Moving forward, According to Dr. Sanjay Tolani, There are 4 reasons why we should avail a life insurance product,

You die, I pay
You fall sick, I pay
You retire, I pay
Your kids go to college, I pay

Life insurance is the only product in the market that doesn't pass through the mutual value creation model because it exceedingly provides more than what the client pay.

I hope that most Filipinos would became aware of its significance and value.

My goal- Educating/encouraging one person at a time towards money and risk management.

Heard a lot of stories about clients messaging their financial advisors for additional health coverage when it's already too late, have their application being processed and was sadly declined due to existing conditions and other risk factors. Worst are family members who's asking whether their deceased spouse has an existing policy?

I can go on and on...

But, the message is simple.

Time is a big factor in determining your personal risk.

The more you delay the more it would cost you.

Growing up I tend to compare how my mom would always show favor to my brother.

It's an unending series of comparison, dissapointments, and a try to compete mindset. My mom would always convinced me that I'm a self made person, a total opposite of my brother, that's why her attention is focused on Him. My brother has the same thoughts towards me, He's agitated because I am more favored in terms of freedom and always calls the shot in making decisions for the family even though He is older than me.

I grow up loving my family so much but at the end of the day, I always measure if my love for them was rightly reciprocated. The more I know God's character the more He revealed to me that my heart is not right. I cannot move on and grow in this area if I never stop measuring and comparing.

Measuring love isn't possible because love isn't base on the benefits that each received from one another. True love is only for the brave and selfless.

Most importantly, true love is perfectly portrayed by Jesus, who died for our sins, disregarding His privileges just to redeem the flaws of humanity.
No ifs no buts, JUST PURE LOVE ❤️
