📢 BIR REGISTRATION SEAL BADGE: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
📌 Over 52,700 Registration Seal Badges secured as of October 14, 2026!
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) reported that over 52,700 Certificates of Registration (COR) with Registration Seal Badges have been secured by covered online sellers, service providers, and content creators.
But what exactly is the Registration Seal Badge, who needs it, and why is it important?
🔎 WHAT IS THE BIR REGISTRATION SEAL BADGE?
The Registration Seal Badge is a digital badge that helps customers verify a taxpayer’s BIR registration without requiring the public display of the entire Certificate of Registration (COR) or electronic COR (eCOR).
Under Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 38-2026, the badge was introduced to protect taxpayers’ privacy and personal information while promoting transparency in online transactions.
👥 WHO NEEDS TO SECURE AND DISPLAY THE BADGE?
Covered taxpayers include: ✔️ Online sellers operating through websites and social media platforms
✔️ Service providers offering services online
✔️ Content creators engaged in covered business activities
✔️ Other taxpayers covered by the applicable BIR regulations
If your business or professional activity falls under the BIR’s requirements, make sure to check your obligations and secure your badge.
💡 WHY IS THE REGISTRATION SEAL BADGE IMPORTANT?
✅ Protects your privacy – Helps avoid publicly displaying your entire COR or eCOR on online platforms.
✅ Builds customer confidence – Allows customers and prospective clients to verify your BIR registration by scanning the badge.
✅ Supports tax compliance – Helps covered taxpayers meet applicable BIR registration display requirements.
✅ Promotes transparency – Makes it easier for customers to check registration details before transacting online.
📅 IMPORTANT DEADLINE REMINDER!
Under RMC No. 99-2026, the BIR extended the deadline for displaying the Registration Seal Badge to OCTOBER 31, 2026.
⚠️ If you are a covered taxpayer and have not yet secured and displayed your badge, now is the time to review the requirements and complete the necessary steps before the deadline.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) reported that over 52,700 Certificates of Registration (COR) with Registration Seal Badges have been secured under classifications covering online sellers, service providers, and content creators as of October 14, 2026.
Introduced through Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 38-2026, the Registration Seal Badge was designed to protect the privacy and personal information of online sellers, service providers, and content creators. It replaces the requirement under the 2024 regulations to publicly display the full COR or electronic COR (eCOR) on websites, social media business pages, and other digital platforms.
“The Registration Seal Badge is meant to make online transactions safer and more convenient. A taxpayer should not have to expose an entire registration document just to prove that a business is registered. We want to make compliance easier while protecting the personal information of online sellers, professionals, and content creators,” BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza said.
The initiative forms part of the BIR DARES reform agenda, particularly Digital and Data Transformation, alongside electronic registration, digital TIN identification, the Taxpayer Portal, and the phased implementation of electronic invoicing. Together, these initiatives aim to simplify tax compliance and improve access to taxpayer services.
Under RMC No. 99-2026, the BIR extended the deadline for displaying the Registration Seal Badge until October 31, 2026, giving online sellers, service providers, content creators, and other covered taxpayers additional time to secure and display their badges.
The BIR encourages covered taxpayers who have yet to secure their Registration Seal Badges to do so and display them on their applicable online business pages and platforms. Consumers and prospective clients may likewise scan the badge to verify BIR registration before transacting online.
