Merong mga tao na mukhang financially stable dahil malaki ang sinasahod nila, nababayaran ang mga gastos, at walang utang. Pero wala rin silang savings at investment, hindi insured, at wala ring natitira sa sahod.

In short, they are in “equilibrium.” Nag-cancel out lang ang income at expenses. At sa isang emergency lang, masisira na ang balance na ito. No margin of error kumbaga.

In other words, “living paycheck to paycheck.”

True financial stability is achieved when you’re earning enough to pay for your bills, you don’t have too much consumer debt, you have an emergency fund, you’re insured, and you’re invested and building a passive income.

Don’t equate a high salary with stability. Maraming mga “stable” na biglang naging unstable during the pandemic.
