Dreams Don’t Expire: The Journey of Diosdado Evangelista

Diosdado Evangelista proved that age is not a barrier to education after completing college at the age of 69 and passing the board examination at 72.

In 2018, Evangelista enrolled at CPSU–Candoni Campus after more than 40 years away from formal education. He later graduated in 2023 and eventually passed the Agriculturist Licensure Examination at the age of 72, becoming a Registered Agriculturist.

Before returning to school, Evangelista spent decades working as a security guard and later as a farmer, prioritizing his family and ensuring that all four of his children were able to finish their studies. After more than 40 years away from the classroom, he decided to pursue his own long-delayed dream of completing his education.

Evangelista’s journey highlights perseverance and lifelong learning, showing that personal goals can still be achieved regardless of age or circumstance.
