The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminds employers to comply with the proper pay rules for employees reporting to work during declared holidays and special non-working days this April, following Labor Advisory No. 5, Series of 2026.

In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to protect workers’ rights and welfare, employees are entitled to the correct holiday pay for the following dates:
• April 2 – Maundy Thursday (Regular Holiday)
• April 3 – Good Friday (Regular Holiday)
• April 4 – Black Saturday (Special Non-Working Day)
• April 9 – Araw ng Kagitingan (Regular Holiday)

This is pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, Series of 2025.

📣 SEC Advisory: Temporary Use of 2020 GIS Form

The SEC allows corporations that are still setting up or restoring access to their eSECURE accounts to temporarily file their General Information Sheet (GIS) through eFAST using the 2020 GIS Form.

⏳ Deadline: April 15, 2026
After this date, the 2026 GIS Form (with Beneficial Ownership submission via HARBOR) will be required.

📢 SEC Advisory: AFS & GIS Filing Deadline

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has set May 29, 2026 as the deadline for filing Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for corporations with fiscal year ending December 31.

✔️ AFS must be filed through eFAST (online filing is mandatory).
✔️ GIS must be filed within 30 days from the actual annual meeting.
