In the past 5 years...

If you were disciplined enough to save P50/day

P50 x 30 = P1,500
x 12 months = P18,000

x 5 years = P90,000

Now Ilang taon kana nag trabaho may 90k kana ba.

This amount, if invested in the right investment vehicle can be millions in the future. You can retire as multi-millonaire!

Mahirap tumanda ng walang ipon. ๐Ÿ™‚

1. SSS and Philhealth is not enough - it will not sustain your medical bills and you will need to downgrade your lifestyle if you will depend on your SSS pension alone.

2. Inflation - your P100 now will have a lesser value in the future.

3. Our kids are not our retirement fund - part of "Pagtanaw ng utang na loob" Culture. We need to break this dependency. Let us not be a burden to our kids in the future.

4. We live longer - imagine retiring at the age of 65 with NO INCOME, then living until the age of 80, that's 15years worth of expenses. 65 years old is too far to imagine, right? How about taking a vacation for a year with no salary?

In essence, we all need to prepare for our future. It's important to enjoy the present but it's equally important to save and invest for our future too.

Retirement

1. one day you will retire. You won't be going to work. You wonโ€™t have office power any more. No influence or at best, a reduced influence. Your cash flow will also reduce.! Check retirement date on your payslip.

2. Always go for your 30days annual leave. Whatever you do during your leave, is what you will be doing when you retire. If all you do is to sleep or watch TV, then thatโ€™s what you are likely do do in your retirement. Remember the book of Proverbs. A little sleep and a little slumber, so shall your poverty multiply.
Watching Big Brother Naija will not save you heartache in retirement. Learn a trade or a skill during your leave. It will come handy. Spend your after-office hours learning something. Donโ€™t spend it sleeping, Gossiping, watching TV!! Same goes for your weekend. Make them productive. You will thank yourself for spending your time productively.

3. Invest for your retirement... your children are not retirement investment. Donโ€™t bank on your childrenโ€™s support or the support of friends or relations. Thatโ€™s a BIG risk. It may not happen. Be ready to take care of yourself!! Everyone has his own responsibilities. They wonโ€™t be able to help you that much. You will also lose your dignity and respect if you adopt a life of begging.

4. Start a hobby early in your working days to take you along when you retire. Rearing chicken, farming or own a shop. Acquire marketable skills ( not useless paper certificates) Etc

5. Where shall you retire. Build yourself a home. Don't retire and start to rent a house or refuse to vacate government house. You will be at the mercy of your landlord at a time when your cash flow is not only reduced but unpredictable!!

6. Who shall be your dependants. By the time you retire, your children should be above 18, and self reliant.

7. Don't retire and stay in a big city unless you can TRULY afford it. You can't continue living in a big city after 60 with limited financial resources. The language and the hustle will be hard for you. Where possible, Relocate to a less expensive town where your reduced take home (pension) can go further.

8. Have property which can be rented or converted into cash. Have shares that pay good dividends. Plant cash trees. Rear goats, cultivate vegetables etc. these activities will not only give you income but will also keep you healthy.

9. Live a simple life. If you never built a house at your rural home, dont use your retirement package to build. It is unwise unless you plan to live there on a permanent basis or you are super rich and therefore can afford the luxury. The choice is yours.

Note that many of retirees die early because of the following:

1. They are Not mentally prepared to retire.
2. Lack of finances
3. They Lapse into Depression
4 They develop Hypertension/ Diabetes because of worries, anxiety and uncertainty "and financial pressures.

YOUR DESK AT YOUR WORK PLACE IS NOT PERMANENT. PLAN FOR YOUR RETIREMENT.

Ang nasayang na panahon ay hindi na maibabalik.

20 to 30 years na nagsisipag sa kumpanya pero walang ipon?๐Ÿค”

Be wise. Learn. Save. Invest.

Walang ibang tutulong sayo balang araw kundi Savings mo. Investment mo.

Walang magiipon para sayo!

I want to share this with you, one of our mentors in IMG. , Bro. Bo Sanchez.

Since yesterday, members have been asking me, โ€œBo, what will happen to the stock market with a BBM Presidency?โ€

Some were panicking.

One person asked me if she should sell all her stocks!

I told her, โ€œFollowing your emotions is the downfall of all investors.โ€

Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ve read in the news that the market dropped by 3% at opening (though the market recovered and closed at -0.56%). But in fact, the market has been declining since February, and no, itโ€™s not because of our politics but global forces thatโ€™s causing the downward trend.

Some people told me, โ€œBut Bo, foreigners are dumping Philippine stocks!โ€

Sadly, foreigners have been selling the Philippines for a decade now. Weโ€™ve not just been very interesting to foreign funds.

As Investment Banker Stephen Cuunjieng said in an ANC Interview recently, Global Funds donโ€™t care about the elections of a small third-world country like the Philippines. Because we donโ€™t affect them. Weโ€™re not a major importer, nor are we a major exporter, except for our OFWs. This isnโ€™t to pick on the Philippines. The harsh reality is the economic powers donโ€™t care for two-thirds of the countries of the world. Weโ€™re just a blip in the margins.

I repeat: Since February, weโ€™ve been telling our TRC members that the stock market has already been going down because of the Russia-Ukraine war, the rise of commodity prices, and the rising ten-year US treasury interest rates.

Someone also showed me a news article about JP Morgan downgrading the Philippines to โ€œunderweightโ€. But as our mentor Edward Lee says, the Philippines has been downgraded for 7 years now. Itโ€™s only the OFW remittances that have kept our ratings high enough.

Why do I listen to Edward?

Because our mentor has been in the Philippine stock market for 47 long years. Heโ€™s seen it allโ€”regime changes, global meltdowns, natural calamities, coups and revolutionsโ€”and heโ€™s stayed the course. Heโ€™s invested through every crisis. And heโ€™s done handsomely well.

Donโ€™t obey your fear. Especially in your investing.

Think about what you are doing: You are not โ€œplayingโ€ the stock market. You are buying good businesses that are 50, 100, 150 years old. Under various administrations, they continued to prosper. We believe they will continue to prosper.

In the meantime, we must keep investing in the best companies of the Philippines at a discount (thatโ€™s why we have buy-below-prices), especially when thereโ€™s a crisis, and over time, weโ€™ll become millionaires.

Right now, weโ€™re in a global crisis.

By training, we always look at crisis as an opportunity.

Real investors see this as an opportunity, not a threat.

So keep investing, start with your 20 pesos. Learn with us for FREE.

2 Ways to Increase Your Income
