If you read my other post about tito Henry Sy, Sr (check nyo nlng ung buo), he built SM North in the midst of economic recession in 1980s.

Let's go to tito John Gokongwei Jr. naman, my former boss, owner of Robinsons Mall, Rob Land, JG Summit, Cebu Pac, URC, and many more. Now his son, tito Lance took over. In this pic is ongoing construction of Robinsons mall here in La Union in the midst of pandemic. Taking advantage of the dip, maximizing the opportunity. Because after all, w/ or w/o crisis, life goes on. People still eat, go to school, work, get sick, play, party and get on with life.

I remember also tito Many Villar. Just after the announcement of his loss in the presidential elections, he immediately called his Architect to set meeting for his infrastructure business. Move on, next agad ganon!

What I want to share here is the mindset of these people. I may share stories of these tycoons bec they are known but believe me, Ive met moooore simple, wise people and some of them are my close friends and clients, who rose above this trying times. Who started from nothing and built and grew it to something. Who, instead of whining and complaining, thought about the solution and acted on it fast.

So my advice is,. . . RIDE the WAVE! 🌊🌊🌊

Invest in this slow paced, recovering time in PH (PSEI almost 7k again). Sabayan natin ang mga tycoons. SALE is everywhere, temptations are just a click away. First, you must invest in your knowledge. After that know where to put your money. Buy assets. Avoid liabilities.

I am just a zoominar away if you want me to help you know your options! πŸ€—πŸ’‹πŸŒ±πŸŒ±πŸŒ±

Li Ka Shing, Hong Kong's richest man for many yrs. In Hong Kong, people admire this 92-year-old billionaire to the point of calling him β€œSuperman” because of his success in bussiness as well as his life profound philosophies.

His advice:

Do not go out with idle people. They are not bad people. But they do not work hard because they simply choose to be content with their life.

The more we talk to them, the more we are affected by their mentality and immature work-life balance.

To add:

Work-life balance is good, but it’s not the reason we become lazy.

Each of us has 24 hours in a day, so you must treasure every minute that you have.

Wait until you're successful then start balancing work – life.

Who is in charge of YOUR finances?

Yes ikaw lang at wala ng iba.
Common Pinoys would ask from their parents, siblings and friends. Unfortunately, a lot of instances, they are asking and taking advice from people who are also equally not financially successful.

What are your excuses for not saving, investing and getting insurance?

EXCUSES:
Kasi liit lang sweldo ko.
Kasi busy sa corp work, Wala tuloy addtl funds.
Kasi ang tagal ko pinagisipan yung insuravest.
Kasi may covid non. Wala ako magawa.

Tell these excuses to your kids who will need to go to school in the future.

Tell any of these to your wife who will need to take over eveything if you are suddenly taken out of the picture.

Tell these excuses that to your future self when you cannot afford to retire.

Serious illness can affect anyone, anytime especially in the time we are living today.

In tagalog, lalo na sa panahon ngayon.

Ang tanong na lang:

Who will pay for your expenses?

Ikaw or kami?
