How many doctors spend their lives taking care of everyone else, yet rarely get taught how to take care of their own financial future?
Today, I had the privilege of speaking before the Philippine Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (PSPGHAN) on the topic:
Financial Wellness for Pediatric Gastroenterologists: Beyond Clinical Care.
One realization I always share is this:
Financial wellness is not about becoming rich.
It is about having the freedom to make decisions based on your values, not your financial limitations.
When doctors become financially healthy, they gain more than wealth. They gain options, peace of mind, the ability to serve without unnecessary financial pressure, and the opportunity to create a greater impact for their families, patients, and communities.
Thank you, PSPGHAN, for the trust and the opportunity to share this message. It was an honor to learn alongside fellow physicians who are committed not only to excellent patient care but also to building a healthier future for themselves.
If there is one thing I hope everyone remembers today, it is this:
Your greatest asset is not your income. It is your ability to create freedom that allows you to fulfill your purpose.
If you believe more healthcare professionals should learn about financial wellness, share this post or tag a fellow doctor. Together, let’s help more physicians build not just successful careers, but lives filled with freedom and meaningful impact.

Honored to be interviewed on a topic that is very close to my heart: physician burnout.
As someone who has been both in medicine and financial education, I’ve realized that burnout isn’t only about long hours.
Sometimes it’s also about feeling like your only source of income depends on your time.
That’s one of the reasons I started advocating for financial literacy and financial freedom for doctors.
I believe every doctor deserves the freedom to serve from purpose, not pressure.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this important conversation. 💙
Some Filipino doctors leave the country because they do not see a sustainable future in the environments where they work, according to Dr. Pinky De Leon-Intal, a licensed physician and founder of MyFinanceMD.

Gusto mo ba ng vehicle that can help you move from where you are now…
to freedom and impact?
This is one of the things I love about what we do.
I get to meet people from different industries.
Doctors.
Professionals.
Business owners.
Leaders.
Community builders.
People who are not just looking for extra income…
but also looking for a meaningful way to grow, serve, and create impact.
Because sometimes, the problem is not that you are not working hard.
The problem is that your current income is still limited by your time, your energy, and your profession.
And that is why you need a vehicle.
A vehicle is something that can take you from where you are now…
to where you want to go.
From survival to stewardship.
From income to freedom.
From working alone to building with a team.
From earning for yourself to creating impact for others.
Because the right vehicle should not only help you earn.
It should help you grow.
It should help you serve.
It should help you build freedom with purpose.
For me, this is what true wealth looks like:
Income with purpose.
Growth with service.
Freedom with stewardship.
Impact beyond yourself.
That is the kind of vehicle I want to build.
Not just income.
Freedom and impact.
Comment ❤️ below if you also believe income should lead to impact.

Healthy ka nga, pero wala ka namang pera, parang magkakasakit ka pa rin, diba?
Successful ka nga, pero health mo naman ang na-suffer. Bale wala din ang pera, right?
Minsan, akala natin health is just about the body.
Wealth is just about money.
Freedom is just about doing what you want.
But real freedom is different.
Health without freedom is incomplete.
Wealth without purpose is empty.
Freedom without impact becomes selfish.
Live a life that heals you, frees you, and allows you to serve. ✨

With everything happening in the Philippines right now, many people are feeling the pressure.
The economy is affected.
Businesses are affected.
Families are affected.
And in the end, ordinary people carry the weight.
Prices go up.
Income feels uncertain.
Opportunities feel limited.
And many people are asking,
“Paano na tayo?”
But maybe this is the time we stop waiting for the economy to save us.
Maybe this is the time we start building our own economy.
An economy built on wisdom.
Skills.
Ownership.
Stewardship.
Service.
And faith.
Not dependent only on salary.
Not dependent only on one job.
Not dependent only on government, politics, or circumstances.
But anchored on a more stable Source.
God gave us gifts.
God gave us ideas.
God gave us relationships.
God gave us the ability to create, serve, solve problems, and build.
This is the heart of MyFinanceMD:
To help doctors, professionals, breadwinners, OFWs, and families build a life that is not easily shaken by the economy.
Because when you build your own economy, you are not just building income.
You are building freedom.
Options.
Peace.
And the ability to help more people.
Let’s stop merely surviving the economy.
Let’s learn how to build our own.
One decision.
One skill.
One asset.
One opportunity.
One step of faith at a time.

Honored to be one of the plenary speakers at the BAYCOG 30th Annual Convention today.
I had the privilege of speaking to fellow doctors about “From Clinic Income to True Freedom” - a message close to my heart.
Because for doctors, financial literacy is not just about earning more.
It is about building a sustainable practice, protecting our calling, and creating a life where we can serve, heal, lead, and give, not from pressure, but from freedom.
My prayer is to see more financially free doctors who continue to practice medicine because they choose to, not because they have to.
It’s our Pinky Promise 💗
Thank you, Bayside Council in Obstetrics and Gynecology, for the opportunity to share this message.
