Regenerative farming is something we learned from our grandparents, and it continues to guide the way we farm today. We began with abaca, coconut, and rice, and over the years we have expanded into growing fruits as well. 🌴🌾🥝

Our goal is to work with nature, not against it. By nurturing the land and respecting natural processes, we hope to help build a resilient food system that can withstand the challenges of climate change. We know we still have much to learn, but we are committed to doing our part, step by step. 💚

In the provinces of 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞 and 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨, watermelon farming has grown beyond mere harvests, it has become a story of community, environment, and opportunity. Farmers in these regions are cultivating hybrid varieties like Takii “Oriental Ball” which are early‑maturing, large, sweet, and disease resistant.

To maintain sustainability and promote organic farming, here are some best practices:

✅ Use well-drained sandy or loamy soil rich in organic matter.

✅Avoid planting on the same land repeatedly to reduce the risk of soil-borne diseases.

✅Practice crop rotation and companion planting to suppress pests naturally and maintain soil health.

✅Limit synthetic pesticides and fertilizers; use compost, manure, and organic amendments.

✅Choose pest-resistant or naturally tolerant watermelon varieties.

✅Implement efficient water management, such as drip irrigation and proper watering schedules, to prevent water stress and overwatering.

✅Apply mulch (e.g., straw or crop residues) to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and improve soil structure.

By combining organic, sustainable growing methods with farm tourism - inviting visitors to see the fields, experience harvest, taste fresh fruit - these provinces can not only produce quality watermelons but also provide additional income, promote local culture, and raise awareness of eco‑friendly agriculture.

Done with all my MBA subjects.
Visited the library today, one of my favorite places on campus. Here’s something personal I’d like to share: I’ve been coming here since my second bachelor’s degree at La Salle and this spot has remained close to my heart all throughout my MBA journey.

Right beside it is our church, where I always take a moment to pray before heading to class. It's a quiet habit that has stayed with me through the years.

Grateful for the memories, the growth, and the grace that carried me through. 🙏📚
