Ito yung part na madalas nakakalito sa 10 years to pay na VUL,
kaya let’s explain it using actual example figures.

Magkaiba ang premium at charges.

Example lang.

Monthly premium mo is 5,000.

Sa unang mga taon, pwedeng ganito ang breakdown:
Admin charge
2,000 per month
Insurance charge
1,000 per month

So out of 5,000,
around 3,000 ang charges
at yung natitira, napupunta sa fund value.

After several years,
usually around year 3 or so,
bumababa na or totally nawawala ang admin charge.

Pero yung insurance charge,
iba ang galaw.

Insurance charge increases as you age.
So halimbawa:
From 1,000 per month
nagiging 1,100
then 1,200
every year tumataas habang tumatanda ka.

Now fast forward.
At year 10, sabihin natin
ang insurance charge is nasa 2,000 per month na.

Pag tapos na ang 10 years to pay,
wala ka nang required na monthly premium.

Pero the insurance charge does NOT stop.

Kagaya ng sa simula, hinuhugot talaga ito sa funs value.

Year 11
maybe 2,100 or 2,200 per month

Habang tumatanda,
tuloy tuloy ang taas ng insurance charges.

Depende sa benefits and coverage,
posibleng pag umabot ka ng age 60,
lampas 5,000 per month na ang kinakaltas na charges.

That is exactly the role of the fund value.

After the paying period,
siya ang magseself support
para saluhin ang future insurance charges.

Kaya importante ang fund value buildup early on.

Hindi siya extra money.
Hindi siya bonus.

Insurance fund siya
na gagamitin para manatiling buhay ang policy long term.
