✅ Heavy rains and strong winds starting Friday (Sept 26)
✅ Possible landfall in Northern Samar
✅ Crossing Southern Luzon and may affect Metro Manila by Sept 27
✅ Potential intensification into a Severe Tropical Storm

🌧️ PAGASA Update: Tropical Depression “Opong” — What Metro Manila Should Know

Opong has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

It is expected to move generally southwestward, then turn west to west-northwest as it approaches Eastern Visayas and Southern Luzon.

Opong is forecast to intensify over the Philippine Sea, and may become a tropical storm.

⚠️🌀 Super Typhoon NANDO Advisory

As of 2PM, PAGASA reports that the eye of Super Typhoon NANDO is passing very close to Babuyan and Calayan Islands, Cagayan.

Max Winds: 215 km/h, gusts up to 295 km/h

Movement: Westward at 25 km/h

Winds extend up to 650 km from the center

📍 NANDO may make landfall over Calayan Island this afternoon and is forecast to exit the PAR by tomorrow morning (Sept 23).
