📢 BIR Opens One-Time Tax Abatement Program for Micro Taxpayers

Good news for micro businesses and taxpayers with unresolved BIR cases!

Under Revenue Regulations No. 4-2026, qualified micro taxpayers may apply for a one-time tax abatement program until December 31, 2026.

✅ Who may qualify?
• Micro taxpayers with annual gross sales not exceeding ₱3,000,000
• Total basic tax liabilities and/or penalties not exceeding ₱80,000 per taxable year
• Taxpayers with delinquent accounts, assessments, or open stop-filer cases existing as of December 31, 2025

✅ Benefits
• Settle old tax issues
• Clean up BIR records
• Close lingering stop-filer cases
• Start fresh as a compliant taxpayer

💰 Abatement Fee: ₱5,000 per approved application

📍 Applications must be filed with the Revenue District Office (RDO) having jurisdiction over the taxpayer.

This program complements the BIR’s simplified business closure procedures and aims to make tax compliance easier for micro taxpayers.
