My client took out a plan in July 2024. She is 26 years old, a teacher, and an OFW. In November 2024, I was shocked when she messaged me saying that she had been diagnosed with 𝙎𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙇𝙪𝙥𝙪𝙨 𝙀𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙨𝙪𝙨. When I read her message, I immediately felt sadness and worry for what had happened to my client. I was concerned because her plan was approved only in July 2024, and unexpectedly, she was diagnosed with this critical illness.
She has no family history of cancer, no vices, no occupational risks, and had good APE results. Ang iya ra gyud issue was her acid reflux. But this unexpected event still happened!
According to her attending physician, “You didn’t do anything wrong, it just happens.”
So mao to, we filed the claim and gathered all the necessary documents. Since her policy was still under the contestability period, we had to wait for enough time for the application to be reviewed and for other necessary checks to be made.
After two months, the claim was FINALLY APPROVED. Sun Life kept its promise. I am truly happy. Lahi ra gyud d i imong ma feel✨
I am sad about what happened to my client, but I am also very happy because I was able to provide something that will greatly help her.

To those who say they won’t need insurance because they are healthy and young pa, we never know when life’s trials will come. It’s better to prepare in advance so that you’re not burdened by expenses, medical costs, and other financial challenges.
