Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of hosting another Accounting 101 session in collaboration with The Kitchen Project. These sessions are always interactive and provide a fantastic learning opportunity for emerging food entrepreneurs to grasp the fundamentals of accounting. I find it incredibly rewarding to share my knowledge with such eager learners, all within the welcoming and supportive environment that The Kitchen Project provides.
The Kitchen Project is an Auckland Council initiative for up and coming food entrepreneurs.

Important payroll changes from 1 April 2026:
👉 Minimum wage increases to $23.95, from $23.50
👉Minimum Kiwisaver rate increases to 3.5%, from 3%
If you have employees, make sure these increases are updated in your payroll systems from 1 April 2026.
