Dad has life insurance, so the family is covered.

Not necessarily.

Life insurance can provide important financial protection if Dad passes away, but what if Dad is still here and an illness or injury means he can’t work?

That’s where income protection, trauma and disability cover can become just as important.

Father’s Day is a great reminder that protecting Dad isn’t just about what happens after he’s gone.

It’s also about making sure he and his family are financially protected while he’s here. 💙

Because the best gift isn’t always something you can wrap.

It’s knowing your family is protected.

People first. Always.

Happy Friday ☔

This week has felt a little extra special for me.

My own dad has flown all the way from South Africa to spend some time with us and it’s been a beautiful reminder of just how precious time with the people we love really is.

We get so caught up in the everyday busyness that sometimes we forget… the people we love are what matter most.

So this weekend, as we celebrate the dads, grandads and father figures in our lives, take a moment to appreciate them, make the memories, have the conversations and enjoy the time together.

Because at the end of the day, it’s the people behind our policies, our homes and our lives that matter most. ❤️

Happy Friday, and happy Father’s Day weekend.

Sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is simply start the conversation.

We live in a world where we can Google almost anything, compare almost everything and do so much ourselves.

But sometimes, a conversation with the right person can make all the difference.

Whether it's understanding your insurance, reviewing your KiwiSaver, making a claim, or simply asking, “Am I actually covered for this?” — asking questions and having conversations is where knowledge begins.

Because we truly are all lifelong learners.

And sometimes, we don't know what we don't know… until we start the conversation.

At Crafford Risk Advisory, we're always happy to start with a conversation.

No pressure. No complicated jargon.

Just people helping people make informed decisions.

🚗☕ DADS… THIS ONE’S FOR YOU! ❤️

We all know Dad does a lot…

Driver. Fixer. Provider. Weekend taxi. BBQ expert. Snack getter. Remote-control holder. 😂

And after all those school runs, errands and family adventures… his car probably deserves a little TLC too!

So this Father’s Day, Crafford Risk Advisory is celebrating 10 local Dads with a little treat:

🚗 A car wash at BP Grand Drive Orewa
☕ PLUS a coffee for Dad to enjoy while the car gets cleaned!

And entering couldn’t be easier…

👇 COMMENT ONE WORD that best describes your Dad.

That’s it.
No tagging.
No sharing.
No jumping through hoops. ❤️

Maybe he’s legendary, hardworking, hilarious, loyal, patient, stubborn… or perhaps simply THE BEST. 😂

🏆 10 winners will be announced right here on the Crafford Risk Advisory page at 9am this Saturday, 5 September.

So go on…

Give Dad the credit he deserves. ❤️

👇 What ONE WORD describes your Dad?

Good luck, and Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads, Grandads and father figures who keep our families going! 👏

People first. Always.

Happy Friday☀️

This week has been another reminder of why I do what I do.

Behind every policy is a person, a family, a story and a life.

It’s easy to think of insurance as paperwork, premiums and policies… but when someone needs to make a claim, it suddenly becomes very real.

And that’s when having someone in your corner matters.

I’m grateful for every client who trusts me to help protect what matters most to them and for the opportunity to be there when they need it most.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

WEDNESDAY WISDOM 💡

Your KiwiSaver is your money — so why leave it completely on autopilot?

Many of us choose a fund, set up our contributions and then forget about it.

But KiwiSaver isn’t just about contributing. It’s about understanding where your money is going and how it’s being managed.

Your fund choice, investment approach and how your money is managed can all make a difference over time.

And the good news?

You don’t have to be a financial expert to ask questions.

We’re all lifelong learners, and making informed decisions starts with understanding the options available to you.

So don’t just ask, “Am I in KiwiSaver?”
Ask, “Is my KiwiSaver working for me?”

Because sometimes, a little knowledge can make a big difference.

23/08/2026

KiwiSaver is set and forget. I don’t need to manage it.

✅TRUTH:
Your KiwiSaver is your money and it’s worth knowing what it’s doing.

The fund you’re in, how your money is invested and whether it still suits your goals can all matter over the long term.

It’s easy to set up your KiwiSaver and forget about it… but when was the last time you actually checked it?

I’m a big believer in making your money work as hard as it can for you, not simply leaving it on autopilot.

Don’t just have KiwiSaver. Understand it.

Happy Friday☀️

This week has been another week full of claims, and it’s been a good reminder of why having the right protection matters.

As we get closer to the end of the year, we’re all getting tired and busy. It’s easy to let our own health slip down the priority list.

With so many cancer awareness campaigns and health reminders around this time of year, it’s a good opportunity to ask ourselves:

When was the last time you had a check-up or screening?

If it’s been a while, maybe it’s time to book that appointment you’ve been putting off.

Looking after ourselves is just as important as protecting everything else we’ve worked so hard for.

Have a wonderful weekend!

18/08/2026

Most of us insure our homes, cars and belongings without thinking twice.

But what about the income that pays for them?

Wednesday Wisdom 💡

Sometimes the most important thing to protect isn’t what you own, but your ability to keep providing for the people who depend on you… and to keep paying for all the things you own😉
