We know tax deadline reminders can be stressful, especially when they pop up everywhere at once. Here's something they don't always make clear...one of the practical benefits of working with an ATAINZ member tax agent is the Extension of Time (EOT) arrangement, which can push your filing deadline from 7 July out to 31 March of the following year.
So take a breath! If you are a client of an ATAINZ member and have been filing your returns on time in the past, you are very likely to qualify for this extension of time. If unsure whether you have an EOT, just reach out to your ATAINZ member to confirm your date.

A reminder as IRD start finalising taxpayers earnings for the year to 31 March 2026, please be aware of scammers trying to take advantage. We are also aware of Tax Refund places advertising - IRD will automatically do this for you (if you are due a refund) so keep your well earned dollars in your pocket and don't employ these entities.
And if you are a client of ours we will do all of this for you as part of our service to you.

A number of our staff are on planned annual leave, and a few have taken the opportunity to take Friday 24th April off to have an extra long weekend.
We have made the choice to not open our office on Friday. We will be back open Tuesday 28th April, after Anzac Day observed.

Are you all organised for your Stock Take and other end of financial year jobs tomorrow?!
2025 financial year tax returns are due by end of day tomorrow, 31 March. We have filed over 99% of our clients' returns, which is a great achievement. To celebrate, this Thursday 2 April we are closing the office for the afternoon to thank the team with a lovely lunch before the long Easter weekend.
