Reflections from the NZQBA Auckland Bookkeeping Conference!
I had such an energising day at the NZQBA Auckland Bookkeeping Conference, and I’m still buzzing with new ideas! With 179 delegates in attendance, it was a fantastic opportunity to learn, network, and explore the latest tools and trends shaping our industry.
The conference covered everything from cutting-edge tech to efficiency strategies that can streamline our work. It’s exciting to see how rapidly the industry is evolving, and how we, as bookkeepers, can harness these changes to better serve our clients.
What truly stood out, though, was the opportunity to connect with fellow bookkeepers from across New Zealand. From Auckland locals to attendees from the South Island, it was inspiring to share experiences and ideas. The variety of approaches within our profession is vast, and there’s so much we can learn from each other.
One key takeaway for me? The importance of self-care. It’s easy to get caught up in client work, but this conference reminded me that looking after ourselves is just as crucial to doing our best work.
And as for marketing? Forget the flashy billboards! Building authentic relationships and engaging in meaningful conversations is where the real value lies.
I left the event feeling motivated and ready to implement fresh ideas into my work. If you ever get the chance to attend a professional development event like this, I can’t recommend it enough. The insights, connections, and inspiration are invaluable!
