🤖 AI Is No Longer a Future Workplace Skill

The way we work is changing — quickly.

Recent Datacom research shows just how rapidly AI adoption has grown among New Zealand organisations surveyed:

2023: 48%
2024: 66%
2025: 87%
2026: 91%

And in 2026, 66% of organisations surveyed provided AI skills training in the past year.

The message is becoming clear: knowing about AI is no longer enough. The real opportunity is learning how to use AI practically, responsibly and confidently at work.

That’s why I created the:

🎓 Certificate in AI Workplace Productivity

A 6-week live and practical programme where I’ll show you step-by-step how to use ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot for real workplace tasks — including professional communication, Word documents, Excel and data, presentations, research, organisation, content creation and everyday productivity.

This is not an AI theory course.

My approach is simple:

You guide the AI → AI assists you → You make the final decision.

Whether you’re an employee wanting to work smarter, a job seeker building future-ready skills, a manager, or a business owner, this course is designed to help you move beyond simply experimenting with AI and start using it with purpose in the workplace.

📅 Starts: Thursday, 1 October 2026
⏰ 6:30–8:30 PM NZT
💻 6 weeks — Live on Zoom
🎓 Certificate of Completion
📹 12 months’ access to recordings
💰 NZ$395 incl. GST

AI will continue to change. The question is: are your workplace skills changing with it?

The Power of “Yet”

There is a big difference between saying “I can’t do this” and “I can’t do this yet.” 🌱

It is only one small word, but it can completely change the way we approach learning.

When something feels difficult, it is easy to assume:

❌ I’m not good at this.
❌ I’m not confident enough.
❌ This just isn’t for me.

But difficulty doesn’t always mean inability.

Sometimes it simply means we are still learning.

A growth mindset allows us to recognise where we are today while still believing we can improve through learning, practice and experience.

So this week, when you catch yourself saying “I can’t…”, try adding one small word:

YET.

💬 What is something you once found difficult but can now do confidently?

Don’t Just Learn It. Use It.

Have you ever watched a great video, read an interesting article or completed a course and thought:

“That was really useful.”

But a few weeks later, nothing had actually changed?

That’s one of the challenges with learning.

Information only becomes truly valuable when we do something with it.

That’s the thinking behind the AH Learning System™:

📘 Learn something useful.
🛠️ Apply it in a real situation.
💭 Reflect on what happened.
🌱 Grow by improving your next attempt.

You don’t need to apply everything you learn.

Start with one useful idea and one small action.

Because sometimes one idea genuinely applied can be more valuable than ten ideas simply consumed.

What is one thing you have learned recently that you could put into practice this week?
