It was a real privilege to join my fellow Toastmasters colleagues in judging the Rural Women New Zealand Lower South Island Regional Speech Competition in Alexandra 🎤✨

The competition formed part of Rural Women New Zealand’s centennial celebrations, marking an incredible 100 years of connection, leadership, and support for rural women and their communities.

This year’s theme, “Legacy and the Next Generation of Rural Women,” brought forward so many meaningful stories. Each speaker shared her experiences, hopes, and vision for the future with confidence, warmth, and just the right touch of humour 💬💛

Judging such a talented group was certainly a challenge, but it was also an enlightening and thoroughly enjoyable morning. It was wonderful to hear these inspiring women use their voices to celebrate the strength of rural communities and encourage the generations still to come
