Taxing Bonus Shares distributed out of Securities Premium Account . The Securities Premium Account can be used only for limited purpose i.e. for the distribution of bonus shares or writing off preliminary expenses etc. One cannot use Securities Premium Account for distribution of cash dividend as it is not earned. There is no provision in Income Tax Act of Nepal taxing Bonus Shares distributed from Securities Premium Account.
