Knowing you should invest is one thing. Deciding how and where to invest is another.
In this week’s article, we continue our back-to-basics investment series by looking at some of the practical considerations that can help shape an investment strategy. We explore the importance of understanding different asset classes, balancing risk and return, diversification, and matching your investments to your objectives and time horizon. Rather than searching for a single ‘best’ investment, the focus should be on building an approach that makes sense for your circumstances and supports what you ultimately want your money to achieve.

Have you ever found yourself asking, 'Where should I invest right now?' It’s a natural question - but is it the right one?
In this week’s article, we explain why the best investment decisions don't start with chasing the latest market trend. Instead, they begin with understanding your personal goals, building a robust financial plan, and ensuring your investment strategy is aligned with the life you want to achieve.
We also explore why trying to predict the next winning asset is rarely as effective as maintaining a disciplined, long-term approach - particularly for international professionals living in Europe.

The team at Black Swan Capital is excited to announce we have a new name. Black Swan Capital is now Arisaig Wealth Management.
The team remains the same, the corporate structure and ownership is the same, and our celebrated ongoing service to you, our clients, is unchanged. The way we manage assets, work with clients and help international professionals to achieve their goals through comprehensive financial planning and investment advice is all unchanged. It is business as usual under a new brand.
So why the new name?
We have taken on a new name as we continue to expand our services to new markets and have selected a name that works globally- there are too many Black Swans in the world and several countries where we cannot use that name.
We want to make sure that as you continue on your international journey, if you move to a new country or region, there will be an Arisaig Wealth Management business there to help you and to continue the good advice and service you enjoy with us.
Our new website is www.arisaigwealth.eu. Please make sure you white list our new domain in your email account so your spam filters don’t block our emails.
The new website still has links to our BSCX currency service, and to our Client Portal, as well as articles, videos and information guides to help international professionals living in Europe.
Our current email addresses will still work and forward to us. The suffix of our new email addresses is .eu for example [email protected].
In summary, from today we have a new name, new website and email addresses, but no change to the business, no change with the people, and no change with the service.
Any questions, reach out to us at [email protected] and we will be happy to speak with you.
Best wishes,
The Arisaig Wealth Management Team

Is it becoming harder to stay motivated to save and invest?
When markets are unpredictable and the cost of living remains high, it can be tempting to put long-term financial goals on hold. In this week’s article, we explore why continuing to save and invest consistently is one of the most effective ways to build lasting wealth. We look at the power of compounding, the benefits of maintaining good financial habits, and why staying invested through different market conditions can make a meaningful difference over time.
For expats in Europe, consistency often proves far more valuable than trying to find the "perfect" moment to act.
