The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has issued a public notice, dated July 8, 2026, on particulars on company business letters. Companies registered in Nigeria should show the information below on their official letters:

1. Present forename or initials and surname of every director. (Any former name or surname)
2. Nationality of every non-Nigerian director.
3. Name and registration number of the company

Non-compliance will attract sanctions in line with the relevant provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020.

Effective date: August 1, 2026

Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) extends deadline for filing individual annual tax returns by two (2) weeks. The new deadline is 14 April 2026.

Lagos State IRS extends the filing deadline for 2025 tax returns by one week. The payroll tax return will be filed by an employer on behalf of employees in Lagos state.
