UNCLE Musa.
After living in the United States for 40 years and at the age of 70, Uncle Musa finally relocated to Salagie, The Gambia this year to live in his 5-bedroom house which took him 10 years to complete.
Now in Gambia and in his house, Uncle Musa lives in the living room of the house downstairs while his caretaker lives upstairs in his huge master bedroom.
This is because Uncle Musa cannot climb the stairs without the help of another person.
Even with help, it takes him 10 minutes to make the climb.
As such, Uncle Musa has decided to stay downstairs in the living room as all 5 bedrooms are upstairs.
The house has a living room, toilet and kitchen downstairs; 3 rooms on the first floor and another 2 rooms (including the master bedroom) on the second/last floor.
This is surely not how Uncle Musa anticipated his retirement.
But that is the reality of his journey.
This will be the life of many other Africans living abroad and building mansions back home.
In fact, if you are building a dream house for yourself to live in and the house is not ready by the time you attain the age of 50, forget about it!
Uncle Musa virtually wasted 40 years of his life doing menial jobs abroad, hoping to go and retire back home in his mansion and enjoy life.
But, now he has no life to enjoy and someone else is sleeping in his master bedroom.
Like most aged persons, Uncle Musa is not even able to enjoy a bottle of Malt because it will shoot up his blood sugar level.
Yet, he said he was working hard all his life in order to enjoy life, which includes eating and drinking the finest foods and drinks, when he retires.
Now, he is only able to eat fruit and vegetable salads - and even that, without dressing!
He cannot even eat any of the fine meats out there without his cholesterol sending warning signs.
That is the life of Uncle Musa in retirement.
This will be the story of more than half of us.
The best thing to do is to take mini-retirements now and enjoy.

THIS IS A MESSAGE for SISTERS
*Who got married but doesn't have children:
Dear sister, know that Aysha Radhiallahu ‘anha got married to Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in a very young age but she has never had children.
*Who was divorced:
Dear sister, the 2 daughters of Prophet Mohammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam got divorced even though they are the daughters of the messenger of Allah!
* Who got married and didn't get pregnant yet :
Remember dear, the first wife and mother of believers Khadijah Radhiallahu ‘anha got married to Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam when she was 40 years old and she got 6 children but saiyeduna Aysha Radhiallahu ‘anha didn't has children from him sallallahu alaihi wa sallam even though she was so young.
So there is absolutely a Divine Wisdom behind that...
*Who didn't get married yet and afraid of what people may say about her:
don’t worry dear sister, marriage is Rizq from Allah and HE will surely grant it to when HE wills it and not when you want it. Don’t care of what people may say about you, remember that --
Maryam ‘Alaihissalam never got married and she is the only woman who has a whole Surah with her name!
So if not having a husband is a defect, she wouldn't has been mentioned in Qur’an!
Not getting married is not a flaw or a defect but not maintaining chastity is,
The real defect is that a woman doesn't preserve her purity and chastity.
Be patient and be sure that Allah will reward you greatly for your patience, at the end this Dunya is not about men or getting married but about submitting your will peacefully to Allah and accept what ever HE decrees for you..
May Allah (swt) guide us to the straight path. Ameen -- Islamic Practice togetherness

FOODTHOUGHTS... LIFE LESSONS... FROM AL-FAKHLEEN CARE...
Around 1am this morning, I played back the tribute of former CBN Gov and Emir Sanusi Lamido d's ring Herbert Wigwe's night of tribute
It underscored the importance of Loyalty and building a network of good friends
According to Sanusi, he was detroned as Emir by 9am. The plan was to send him on exile for many years. But by 12 noon, his friend Herbert had chattered a plane to pick Sanusi and his family from Kano airport
Instead of moving on exile, Herbert moved Sanusi and Family to Lagos, kept them in a Hotel for fews days and later rented an apartment for him ( all expense paid)
Last nite, a whole Sanusi was weeping on Live TV over the beautiful memories with Herbert.
It was one call to Herbert that saved Sanusi from shame and exile.
For those who do not understand how powerful friendship and network is, keep burning bridges
One day, you will be stranded but your"Saviour" Will be nowhere because you have destroyed the bridge
I am a beneficiary of network. I am a testimony of Loyalty. I have been saved several times by just ONE call. Believe me when I say, you may not be a Rich man but your network of solid friends will work for you.
STOP BURNING BRIDGES!!!
