🚨 New BNM Relief Facility for SMEs Affected by Global Disruptions 🚨

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has officially launched the SME Stabilisation Relief Facility (SME SRF). This initiative aims to provide timely working capital support to help viable businesses navigate economic uncertainties and alleviate cash flow constraints stemming from the geopolitical conflict in West Asia (beginning March 2026).

Key Features of the SME SRF:
1. Financing Size: Up to RM750,000 per SME.
2. Financing Rate: Highly competitive at up to 3.75% p.a. (inclusive of a 0.5% p.a. guarantee fee) .
3. Maximum Tenure: Up to 5 years.
4. Purpose: Strictly for working capital (excludes refinancing).
5. Guarantee: Up to 80% coverage provided by Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) or Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad (SJPP).

Who is Eligible?
Viable Malaysian SMEs (with at least 51% Malaysian ownership) that are experiencing financial stress due to trade and supply chain disruptions from the West Asia conflict.

Availability:
The facility is available from 15 May 2026 until 31 December 2026, or until the fund is fully utilised.

Starting from YA 2026, e-Invoice transaction data may support the pre-filling of individual tax relief information.

Taxpayers are encouraged to request e-Invoices for purchases related to tax relief claims, including:

✔️ Computers & smartphones
✔️ Lifestyle expenses
✔️ Insurance
✔️ Childcare fees
✔️ Other eligible relief categories

To receive an e-Invoice, buyers should provide their IC number or Tax Identification Number (TIN) during purchase.

✅ Faster tax relief verification
✅ More efficient tax filing process
✅ Better tracking through the MyInvois Portal

This initiative is part of HASiL’s effort to strengthen Malaysia’s digital tax ecosystem and improve tax compliance efficiency.
