Driving milling excellence 🌱

At the International Palm Oil Millers Conference 2026 at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur, we connected with industry leaders to shape the future of palm oil milling.

From showcasing innovations like Project OMEGA, RAPID, and SORS at our booth, to insightful sessions by Jeffry Faizal Kamaruddin, CEO of Upstream Malaysia and Ir. Dr. Mohd Shiraz Aris, Head of Upstream Research, we shared a glimpse of SD Guthrie’s journey in driving milling excellence.

Two days of ideas sharing, collaboration, and forward-thinking conversations - we continue to drive the transformation towards a more sustainable future 💡

SD Guthrie Berhad and Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporation) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore a large-scale mixed-use industrial development in Sepang.

The proposed 2,500-acre development, located near KLIA Aeropolis within IDRISS, is expected to support industrial growth, attract investments, and create employment opportunities.

This is the second collaboration between Guthrie and MBI Selangor, reflecting a strong and ongoing partnership in advancing Selangor’s development agenda.

A great day out at Carey Island 🌴

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the Minister of Plantation and Commodities YB Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad to our Carey Island operations, a visit all about innovation, progress, and what’s next for the industry 🌱

We kicked off with a tour of the ICA Lab to explore how R&D is powering our downstream ecosystem before heading out in the field, where we showcased our harvesting practices, crop evacuation, and even drone tech in action 🚁 Our Static Machine Display also shared how mechanisation has been shaping the way we work over the years

After a drive around the estate (and a quick stop at Hatter’s Castle for lunch 🍽️), we wrapped up the visit at SD Guthrie International Biodiesel, demonstrating our growing biodiesel capabilities and how they’re contributing to a more sustainable future 🌍
