Concept Artist Needed for our company

As a Concept Artist in our organization, you will be responsible for concept development and visualization of future Tesla products and environments. You will be part of the creative team that creates and executes world-class designs in terms of form, function, and futuristic vision.

Using your considerable concept development experience and innovative thinking, you will primarily be tasked with 2D illustration, 3D modeling, and concept visualization (keyframe shots and animation). Our design team prides itself on being multitalented and flexible, and we look for the same in our potential candidates. This position will report to a design manager within the design studio organization.

What You’ll Do
Develop design proposals for Tesla properties including, but not limited to, vehicles/products/robots/buildings/environments
Create compelling sketches and illustrations that show a vision for the future our company.
Work in 3D to model out selected concepts (both your own concepts as well as those from other teammates)
Work with engineers to incorporate solutions that serve the design vision and also fit with engineering constraints
Work with color and material designers to incorporate their innovative work into the concept as a whole
Collaborate with the fabrication team to complete prototypes when necessary
What You’ll Bring
University degree in Fine Arts, Design, Illustration or similar with a minimum of 2 years of experience in entertainment or video game design
High technical proficiency in sketching, illustration, and photoshopping for the purpose of creating concept art and keyframe illustrations
High level of skill creating 3D models using applications such as Blender, Zbrush, 3DCoat, Maya, 3DS Max, Unreal, Godot, Fusion 360, Solidworks, etc
Ability to create compelling renders, visualizations, animations from concept models
Excellent at creating and maintaining cross-functional working relationships
