🌱 My Kingdom Dream — One Small Step at a Time

There was a time when I felt empty, lonely and lost.

I was distant, insecure and timid. I preferred to keep to myself.

But God never gave up on me. ❤️

He kept sending people to care for me, reach out to me and love me unconditionally. Through them, my heart slowly changed.

I began to experience God’s grace, love, joy and purpose.

Today, I believe God has given me a meaningful calling—to use my life and work to bless others.

💰 Through financial coaching, I hope to help people see that financial literacy is more than money.

It can mean less worry, healthier families, more choices, freedom and the ability to give with joy.

One story touched me deeply: someone wished their hardworking, sacrificial parents had learned financial literacy earlier, so their family might have avoided years of financial struggles.

It made me realise:

What if one small step today could change the story of a family tomorrow?

So my dream is simple:

Healthier individual → Healthier family → Healthier community.

❤️ I also dream of building healthy, meaningful relationships rooted in Christ

- growing together in grace, love and purpose, and

- becoming a living testimony of God’s goodness that inspires others to know Him.

We don't believe we need to change the world overnight.

Maybe it starts with one conversation, one decision, one small step.

🌱 Look at our finances.

🌱 Learn something new.

🌱 Start saving, even a little.

🌱 Have the conversation we've been avoiding.

🌱 Ask God, “How can we better steward what You have entrusted to us?”

Small steps, faithfully taken, can become the beginning of a different story.

🙏🏻 May we have a blessed journey ahead, walking with God in hope, purpose, freedom and joy.

🤯 The Obstacle Is the Way
Powerful Life Lesson #24/100

One of the biggest financial obstacles we all face is something we cannot completely control:

INFLATION.

But we can control how we perceive it, what we learn, and how we respond.

When I first started working, I was disciplined about saving—but afraid of investment risk. So I kept almost everything in Fixed Deposits.

Then around age 30, I realised:@@@

My money was growing, but my purchasing power was shrinking.

I remember movie tickets costing around RM0.50 when I was 12. By the time I started working, around RM8. Today, it can be RM18 or more.

That was my wake-up call.

I realised I couldn’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.

So I chose to learn, diversify and take calculated risks.

Over the past 20+ years:

Learn → Plan → Grow → Diversify → Preserve → Protect → Optimise → Create Options

The lesson from The Obstacle Is the Way reminds me of three disciplines:

👀 Perception — How do I see the situation?
🏃🏻‍♀️ Action — What can I do about it?
💪🏻 Will — What must I accept and endure?

Inflation is an obstacle we all face.

But perhaps it can also become an invitation to:

Understand. Learn. Take responsibility. Start small.

📌 Review where your money is today.
📌 Ask whether it is keeping pace with your goals.
📌 Learn one new thing about investing.
📌 Take one small, informed step.

Small wise steps, consistently taken, can change the direction of your financial life.

It’s not too late. ❤️

What stands in the way can become the way.

🪴 What if the fear you feel today isn’t a sign to stop… but an invitation to grow?
Powerful Life Lesson #23/100

When I left the corporate world to pursue what I believe was God’s calling as a financial coach and advisor, I was excited—but honestly, I was afraid.

“What if people think I’m hard-selling?”
“What if they judge my intentions?”
“Maybe I’m not good enough.”

Recently, a CliftonStrengths workshop gave me a beautiful realisation:

God had already been preparing me long before I knew I was being prepared. 🙏

Integrity. Responsibility. Learner. Positivity. Connectedness. Maximiser.

I also remembered the wisdom from The Four Agreements:
🗣️ Be impeccable with your word.
🛡️ Don’t take things personally.
❓ Don’t make assumptions.
🌱 Always do your best.

So I stopped trying to prove myself.

I simply focused on serving people well.

Over the years, trust was built through small, consistent moments—one conversation, one follow-up, one financial decision, one promise kept.

When clients recently shared that my integrity, consistency and values gave them confidence to continue the journey with me, I was deeply touched. ❤️

Today, some have introduced their friends, families and business connections to me.

That means more to me than any title.

Because I’m beginning to see the bigger purpose:

🌱 Helping one person become healthier financially.
🌱 Helping one family build a stronger foundation.
🌱 Helping the next generation inherit better financial habits and wisdom.

If you’re standing at the beginning of a new chapter and feeling afraid or unqualified—

Don’t wait until you feel ready.

Take the next small step.
Learn. Ask for help. Do your best.

You don’t have to see the whole staircase.

Just take the next step.

And sometimes, you’ll discover something beautiful:

You were never walking alone.
God was preparing you all along. ❤️

Small Steps. Daily Consistency. Lasting Transformation. 🌱
(Powerful Life Lesson #22/100)

Recently, I committed to a 45-Day Health Program.

Before I started, I asked myself:

Why do I really want to do this?

The outcome—losing weight—was not motivating enough.

The process—building healthy habits—was better.

But the most powerful motivation came from my identity:

👉 I want to be a person who is consistent in what I say and what I do.

👉 I want to become a healthier, more energetic coach and advisor.

So, I started small.

❌ Asked my husband not to bring supper into our room.
❌ Stopped buying junk food.

Then, I applied the 4 Laws of Behaviour Change:

👀 Make It Obvious – I declared my commitment to family and friends for accountability.

❤️ Make It Attractive – I enjoyed nutritious food and listened to e-books while exercising.

🚶 Make It Easy – 45 minutes on the treadmill + 15 minutes of core exercise.

😊 Make It Satisfying – I celebrated my consistency and enjoyed seeing my progress.

The first 5 days were difficult.
But slowly, consistency became easier. Then it became enjoyable.

After 45 days, I am grateful for the results:
✨ Lost 7.1 kg
✨ 6.0 kg was Fat Mass
✨ Visceral Fat dropped from 15 to 10
✨ More energy, a clearer mind, better sleep quality and a healthier body

But the greatest transformation wasn't just the numbers.

It was becoming the person I promised myself I would BE.

You don't need to make a drastic change overnight.

Start with one small step today.

🙏 Pray for 5 minutes.
🚶 Walk for 10 minutes.
💰 Save RM100 every month for your future self.
📊 Track your spending for 1 week and discover where your money is going.
📈 Start investing RM200 consistently to build your financial future.

Start small. Build consistency. Let time do the compounding.

🌱 Small steps. Stay consistent. Become who you want to be.

What is one small habit you can start today?

One Small Positive Step Can Change Everything. ✨
(Powerful Life Lesson #21/100)

I don't always consider myself a positive person. Like many others, I experience worries, self-doubt, and sometimes expect the worst.

Recently, I discovered that POSITIVITY is one of my Top 5 Strengths.

It made me reflect on how God has used this strength throughout my life.

When I was 25 and working at Panasonic, I was chosen to give a presentation to more than 200 leaders—even though my English was very poor.

My mentor didn't choose me because I was the best speaker.

He chose me because of my positive attitude and willingness to learn.

During the presentation, I lost my line.

Instead of panicking, I paused, found my place, and continued.

That experience taught me:

Positivity doesn't mean ignoring challenges.

It means believing that challenges can be overcome—one small step at a time.

So today, when you feel stuck, don't ask:
❌ "Can I do this?"

Instead ask:
✅ "What is one small step I can take today?"

Maybe it's making that phone call.

Maybe it's starting that unfinished project.

Maybe it's simply believing in yourself again.

🙏 Pray. Believe. Take one small step.

You may be surprised where that small step can lead you. ❤️

☀️ Good morning!

May today bring you renewed hope, peace, and strength for whatever lies ahead.

No matter what yesterday looked like, today is a new opportunity to begin again. 🌱

🧩 You don’t have to be perfect to start.
💪 You just need to take the first step.
(Powerful Life Lesson #20/100)

I realised I have a perfectionist side.

I often started projects but stayed too long in the planning stage, thinking:

"It’s not good enough yet."

That created frustration and affected my confidence.

Then came a turning point in 2021.

I had just left corporate life and was studying to become a Registered Financial Planner.

An opportunity came to conduct a financial literacy session for an MNC, with 110+ participants.

My first thought?
"Who am I to do this? I’m still learning!"

Thankfully, my mentor said:
“You don’t need to be perfect. Just share what you have experienced and learned.”

So I did.

My English wasn’t perfect.
My experience wasn’t extensive.

But I showed up and gave my best.

And something amazing happened.

I enjoyed sharing.
People benefited.
Some even approached me afterwards for financial planning support.

That experience taught me:
PERFECTIONISM tells us to WAIT.
COURAGE tells us to START.

This is one lesson I took from The Gifts of Imperfection:

🌱 DONE IMPOERFECTLY is often BETTER than WAITING for PERFECT.

What is one small step you’ve been postponing because you feel “not good enough”?

START ANYWAY.

Your IMPERFECT FIRST STEP may become someone else’s BREAKTHROUGH. ❤️

What If Your First Small Step Opens a Door You Never Expected? 🚪✨
(Powerful Life Lesson #19/100)

Reading Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success reminded me that success is not just about achieving goals.

It is about discovering your gift, taking action, staying resilient, and continuing to grow.

My journey started with one question:

“What has God gifted me to do?”

In 2015, my spiritual mentor introduced me to the SHAPE framework:
🎁 S – Spiritual Gifts
❤️ H – Heart (passion)
💪 A – Abilities (natural talents & skills)
🧩 P – Personality
🌱 E – Experiences

It took me 5 years of learning, searching, praying, and taking small steps before God opened the door for me to leave corporate life and pursue my calling as a Financial Coach and Wealth Advisor.

I didn't have everything figured out.

While studying for my RFP, before I even had clients, I was given an opportunity to share financial literacy with more than 100 employees online.

I simply shared my own journey—how I started saving, investing, learning from mistakes, and improving along the way.

And I discovered something:

I found joy in sharing what I had learned to help others.

I never planned to become a trainer.

But over time, more opportunities came—financial literacy workshops, board game sessions, and

this year, the privilege to serve as a Co-Trainer for the Certified Financial Coaches Program.

Looking back, I am grateful for this amazing journey. 🙏

My lesson is simple:

You don't need to see the whole path. Just take the first small step.

Maybe your first step is:
📌 Learn something new
📌 Share what you know
📌 Try something you have never done
📌 Volunteer when an opportunity comes
📌 Keep going when things are difficult

Discover your gift. Take action. Keep learning. Stay humble. Never give up.

Your small step today may open a door you never expected. 🚪✨

💰 3 Lessons from The Richest Man in Babylon That Changed My Journey
(Powerful Life Lesson #18/100)

this book reminded me that building wealth does not always start with a high income or a big decision.

It can start with one small step. 🌱

1️⃣ PAY YOURSELF FIRST

When I started working, I made it a habit to save and invest 10% of my income.

Over time, these small savings helped my family through challenges and gave me more financial flexibility to pursue my calling.

💡You don't need to start big. Start with what you can.

2️⃣ KNOW WHERE YOUR $$$ GOES

Although I trained as an accountant, I didn't track my own expenses at the beginning!

When I finally did, I was shocked to discover how much I had spent on DVDs. 😄
That awareness helped me change my spending habits.

Until today, I still track my expenses—not to restrict myself, but to make wiser choices.

💡Awareness is often the first step towards change.

3️⃣ GROW YOUR WEALTH -PROTECT WHAT YOUR BUILD

Over the years, I learned that investing is not only about staying invested and pursuing growth.

Every investment has good and challenging times.

The question is: How can we protect our downside while still participating in potential market growth?

I am grateful that today, there are solutions designed with a safety cushion.
For example, under certain structures, if the market falls by up to 15%, the investment may be protected from that loss—while still allowing participation in market upside, subject to certain caps.

Of course, this type of solution is not suitable for everyone and requires certain eligibility or pre-qualification.
(Curious to understand how this works? Feel free to connect with me). 🌱

And the greatest investment of all? INVESTING IN YOURSELF. 📚💪

You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Start with one small step today:
🌱 Save a little
🌱 Track your expenses
🌱 Learn something new

Small steps, repeated consistently, can create meaningful change over time.

If I can take that first step, so can you. 💛

🆓 Freedom Needs Purpose
(Powerful Life Lesson #17/100)

I recently revisited The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss, and one idea really resonated with me:

Don’t just pursue more income. Pursue more FREEDOM—and give that freedom a PURPOSE.

When I was in corporate, I had good income, career opportunities and a great team.

But one responsibility challenged my values deeply: cutting 15% of manpower every year.

I remember asking my ex-boss,
“Some of these employees are near retirement and are the sole providers for their families. Do we really need to cut them?”

His answer:
“This is the reality. You are in this position, so you need to do the job.”

I realised I had a choice.

So I left.

I didn’t start with Goal Setting.
I started with FEAR SETTING.

Worst case?
-I might not find another corporate job.

Prevention?
-Build sufficient financial reserves so I wouldn’t be forced to work purely for money.

Then I asked:

What do I want to BE, DO and HAVE?

BE: An integrity-driven, trusted financial coach.
DO: Help families improve their financial well-being.
HAVE: Peace, joy, purpose and freedom.

Looking back, I’m grateful.

Freedom allowed me to learn, serve, spend more time with family and build deeper relationships.

You don’t have to quit your job tomorrow.

Start with one small step:

👉 Eliminate one low-value activity.
👉 Reclaim that time.
👉 Use it for something that truly matters.

Don’t wait until retirement to start living with purpose.
