Ever wondered if your Sdn. Bhd. actually needs to appoint an auditor and go through an audit every year?

Under the Companies Act 2016, not every private company is required to. Certain companies can qualify for an audit exemption. While the rules are detailed, your company may be exempt if it falls into one of these main categories:

😴 Dormant Companies: No revenue or business transactions at all during the financial period.
💰 Zero-Revenue Companies: No revenue for the financial year, with total assets not exceeding RM300,000.
✅ Threshold-Qualified Companies: Active companies that meet ALL THREE of the following criteria:
• Annual revenue of RM100,000 or less.
• Total assets of RM300,000 or less.
• No more than 5 employees at the end of the financial period.
