The IRBM issued a media release on 7 August 2026, clarifying the stamp duty and endorsement requirements for employment contracts and instruments falling under the Exemption and General Exemption categories in the First Schedule of the Stamp Act 1949.

📢 Government Initiatives under e-Invoicing

To support businesses in implementing and complying with e-Invoicing requirements, the Government has introduced the following initiatives:

✅ Accelerated Capital Allowance (ACA) for eligible e-Invoicing implementation costs (pending gazette order); and
✅ Special Voluntary Disclosure Program (SVDP) for e-Invoicing.

The SVDP for e-Invoicing is available from 7 July 2026 to 31 December 2027, providing taxpayers with an opportunity to voluntarily rectify omissions and errors in their e-Invoicing submissions.

✨ Don't miss this opportunity!
Review your e-Invoicing compliance, correct any inaccuracies, and ensure your business complies with the e-Invoicing requirements.
