KLSC 62nd Graduation Ceremony 🎓
A very meaningful milestone — celebrating the 62nd Graduation Ceremony of Kuala Lumpur Speakers Club (KLSC)!

Grateful for the opportunity to complete this journey in the presence of Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Dara Tunku Tan Sri Naquiyah Binti Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar, President of KLSC, YB Dato’ Nicole Ann David, and our wonderful trainer, Dr. Baljit Kaur.

Beyond the skills I gained throughout the course, the learning, preparation and practice have been a truly rewarding experience. A valuable part of this journey has also been the people I met along the way. To my fellow course mates — what started as a group coming together to learn and upskill ourselves has grown into close bonds, shared memories and friendships.

A special thank you to my husband Surendran Seelan for his constant support and encouragement throughout this journey, especially while balancing his own busy schedule. ❤️

I’m also deeply grateful to my proposer and seconder for believing in me and encouraging me to take this step. Thank you for your support and for being part of this journey.

Thankful for the lessons, the growth, the encouragement, and most importantly, the wonderful people who made this journey so special.

Delighted to have attended Kiwi Ball 2026, hosted by the Malaysia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce. It was a wonderful evening of reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new professionals, and celebrating the strong relationship between Malaysia and New Zealand.

It was also heartwarming to see the community come together in support of Fugee and its mission to create better opportunities for refugee children in Malaysia.

A sincere thank you to the Malaysia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, the organising committee, sponsors, partners, and volunteers for an outstanding event. Special congratulations to Reece Kurta, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the evening such a success.

It was an honour to speak at the Leading Women 2026 Summit in Kuala Lumpur, organised by Karen and the team at Thomvell International
I had the privilege of presenting “Strategic Decision-Making and Financial Analysis for Managers”, where we explored how financial literacy empowers leaders to make better business decisions.

During the session, we discussed:
• Why strong sales and profits alone don’t always mean a healthy business.
• The importance of cash flow and working capital in sustaining operations.
• Key financial ratios that every manager should understand to evaluate business performance.
• Financial warning signs and red flags that leaders should never ignore.
• The role of financial due diligence in making informed investment and business decisions.
• How strategic financial thinking helps organisations manage risks, create value, and make better long-term decisions.

My key takeaway from the session:

Good decision-making requires looking at the whole picture—not just one number.
• Profit tells us about performance.
• Cash flow tells us about survival.
• The balance sheet tells us about financial strength.
• Financial due diligence tells us about risks.

Throwback to my session “Find the Fraud” at INTI, where I had the opportunity to introduce students to forensic accounting. We explored how forensic accountants identify fraud, spot red flags, and apply professional judgement through a simple mini case activity.
The students were highly engaged throughout the session, actively participating in the case discussion and asking thoughtful questions, especially around careers in the field and beyond.
It was encouraging to see their curiosity and interest in a more investigative and analytical side of the profession.
