🚨 BELOW RM3 MILLION ≠ AUTOMATICALLY EXEMPT!🚨
You think your business is safe from E-Invoice because your annual turnover is below RM3 million? 🤔 WAIT! Double check these!
❌ The exemption does NOT applied to these shareholding structure:
1️⃣ You have a non-individual shareholder with turnover/revenue of RM3 million or more
2️⃣ You are a subsidiary of a company with turnover/revenue of RM3 million or more
3️⃣ You have a related company or joint venture with turnover/revenue of RM3 million or more
Based on the LHDN E-Invoice General FAQs updated 4 September 2026, and the IRBM e-Invoice Guideline Version 4.8, taxpayers with annual turnover/revenue less than RM3 million may be exempt — BUT the exemption is subject to specific criteria under Section 1.6.10.
💡 So, over excited yet just look at your own revenue!
Your company structure, shareholders and related parties may affect your e-Invoice exemption eligibility.
