I don’t talk a lot about this. I’ve only really shared it with a few people close to me.

Now I’m sharing it with you because I believe it will inspire you to make a change that can set the tone for everything else, in the best way possible.

So here it goes….

At one point as I was determined to grow my business I was charging just $225 a month per client. I had 23 clients. 😟

I was a new mom, doing all the things to keep up with the workload. And my body shut down before my mind did.

I ended up in the hospital after working myself sick.

That’s when I decided I had to make a change. Here’s the thing, I was already doing more than I was getting paid for.

My bookkeeping clients were asking me things like “do we have enough to hire help?” and “how much should we save for taxes?”

I just didn’t know that it was advisory work.

So I reached out to a friend I knew was offering fractional CFO services.

And that conversation opened my eyes to what was possible — without hiring contractors and going agency, without staying at volume and chasing more clients, without hiking up my rates overnight and risking everyone walking.

There was another way to grow. I figured it out. It changed everything and it turned out better than I could have imagined.
