Due to the recent floods and landslides across Sri Lanka, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has officially extended the IIT filing deadline.
🗓 New Deadline: 31st December 2025
(Previously: 30th November 2025)
This extension gives taxpayers additional time to complete their filings without added stress during these challenging times.

IIT Tax Filing Deadline Extended to 8th December 2025
Following the severe floods and landslides experienced across Sri Lanka, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has officially extended the Individual Income Tax (IIT) filing deadline.
🗓 Old Deadline: 30th November 2025
🗓 New Deadline: 8th December 2025
This extension gives taxpayers extra time to complete their filings while managing the disruptions caused by the disaster.
📝 What You Should Do Now
🔹 Submit Your IIT Documents Early
If you haven’t shared your documents yet, please forward them as soon as possible. Early submission ensures accuracy and avoids last-minute delays.
🔹 Tax Return Preparation & Filing
