វិសាខបូជា គឺជាបុណ្យដ៏ធំមួយក្នុងព្រះពុទ្ធសាសនា​ដើម្បីរម្លឹកដល់ព្រះពុទ្ធសមណគោត្តមបរមគ្រូ នាថ្ងៃពេញបូណ៌មី គឺថ្ងៃ ១៥កើត ខែពិសាខ ដែលពុទ្ធសាសនិក ទាំងព្រះសង្ឃ ទាំងគ្រហស្ថ តែងធ្វើសក្ការបូជា ប្រកបដោយជំនឿថា ជាមហាកុសល ដ៏ប្រសើរ។
ការប្រារព្ធពិធីបុណ្យវិសាខបូជា គឺដើម្បីរម្លឹកដល់ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ដ៏ពិសេសចំនួន ៣ គឺ៖
១- ព្រះអង្គ ទ្រង់ព្រះប្រសូតចាកពីព្រះឧទរព្រះមាតា
២- ថ្ងៃព្រះអង្គត្រាស់ដឹងនូវអនុត្តរសម្មាសម្ពោធិញាណ
៣- ជាថ្ងៃព្រះអង្គយាងចូលព្រះបរមបរិនិព្វាន។

Visak Bochea is a major Buddhist festival and a national holiday in Cambodia. It is held on the night of the full moon in the month of Visak to honor the Buddha. On this day, both monks and followers perform ceremonies, believing it brings great merit and peace.
The festival celebrates three special events in the Buddha's life:
1.​​​ His Birth
2. His Enlightenment (the day he found the truth)
3. His Passing (entering Nirvana (Parinirvana))

Meak Bochea is one of Buddhism’s most significant festivals, celebrated on the 15th day of the full moon in the month of Meak. This sacred day commemorates three important events:
🪷 The Great Assembly of 1,250 enlightened monks (Chaturongkasannibat),
🪷 The Buddha’s teaching of the Ovada Patimokkha,
🪷 The Buddha’s declaration of entering Parinirvana three months later.
