π‘ Financial Tip of the Week -
Money doesn't stay with big earners. It stays with wise spenders.
Let's talk about two people. π
Person A earns Kes. 150,000 a month.
Nice apartment, good lifestyle. By the 15th, asking for a soft loan until salary.
Every month.
Person B earns Kes. 80,000 a month.
No flashy lifestyle, but they have land in Kitengela, an MMF they top up every payday, and a SACCO dividend coming in December.
Same city. Same economy. Very different outcomes.
The only difference?
Person B decided to spend after investing, while person A invests with whatever is left -which is usually nothing.
β
This week's practical step:
Try the invest - first approach just once this week.
Before bills. Before shopping. Before anything.
Move one amount, even 500 bob, into savings or an investment account first.
See how it changes the way you make every other financial decision that day.
Just honesty with yourself and your monies π°
Because wise spending is not about being stingy.
It is about being deliberate π―

Here is a number most of us have never seen.
Our own net worth.
Not because the calculation is hard.
We've learned more complex maths in Form Two.
But because somewhere deep down, we are afraid of what the number will say.
What if it is lower than we thought? π€
What if all the years of working hard, hustling, sending money home - what if the number does not reflect any of it?
That fear is real. And it is also exactly why most of us never get ahead.
You cannot grow what you cannot measure.
So today, we are measuring.
Take 23 minutes.
Follow the three steps on this poster.
Write the number down.
Even if it makes you uncomfortable...especially if it makes you uncomfortable.
Because that number is not a verdict. It is a starting point.
And starting points can be changed. π
π Drop a "πͺ" in the comments if you are doing this exercise today, or tag someone who needs to calculate theirs.

π‘ Financial Tip of the Week
Most of us postpone investing because we are waiting for the "perfect time".
What does the perfect time imply? I'm glad you asked! Mostly it means:
ππ½ When I get a salary increase...π°β«
ππ½ When my business grows... π’π
ππ½ When I have more money... π€
The truth is, wealth is rarely built by waiting.
It's built by being intentional with what we already have.
β
This week's practical step:
Take 15 minutes today and answer these 3 questions:
1οΈβ£ What am I currently saving for? π€
2οΈβ£ What am I currently investing in? π§
3οΈβ£ If I'm not investing yet, what's stopping me? π«£
Sometimes, clarity is the first investment you need to make.

Today, we celebrate the men, fathers, and father figures whose dedication, sacrifice, and guidance shape families, businesses, and communities.
Your leadership extends far beyond provision - it inspires confidence, resilience, and growth in those who look up to you.
From all of us at Mwalimu Biashara, thank you for the impact you make every day.
Happy Father's Day. π

Most of us were taught that saving money is the safest financial decision.
But here's a question: βοΈ
_If your money grows by 3% in a savings account, yet inflation is rising at 7%, are you really growing your wealth? π€
The uncomfortable truth is:
π +3% from savings
π -7% from inflation
π Net effect: Your money is actually losing value over time.
Saving is important. Keep doing it.
But saving alone is no longer enough.
The goal is to move from protecting money to growing money π―
That's why investing isn't reserved for the wealthy.
It's how ordinary people stop falling behind and start building wealth intentionally π°π
Wealth tip: Sometimes, the biggest financial risk is believing your money is safe when it's quietly losing value.
