At Ten Senses, we are ‘Nuts about quality’. Working in the back end to ensure this fact remains is our Head of Quality, Safety & compliance, Ms. Brenda Matete, a Super trained Food Scientist and Technologist.
Brenda is a graduate of University of Egerton and a certified lead auditor in various management systems such as ISO9001 and FSSC2000. She has over 15 years experience in the food industry and has always been passionate on matters food and food security with a bias in quality and safety.
Her typical day at TSA includes staff trainings, customer engagements, quality documentation, facility inspections among others. She has been instrumental in the acquisition and continuous company certification upgrades. She advises that quality and safety is not something food processors should disregard because it is extremely important to their success and customer satisfaction

The Slovak Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Katarina Leligdonova, accompanied by the MD, Ten Senses Africa Ltd, Mr. Frank Omondi paid a courtesy call to Kwale Governor, H.E Hon. Salim Mvurya to discuss the impact of the cashew nut revamp project in the county. Our collaboration with the Kwale County Government has enabled the distribution of seedlings to over 6,000 farmers.

Ten Senses Africa MD Frank Omondi joined the newly appointed Slovak Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Katarina Zuffa Leligdonova for a courtesy call to Kilifi Governor, H.E Amason Kingi at the Governor’s office in Kilifi.
The Ambassador together with the County Governor received a status report on the ongoing ambitious Cashew project started in 2018 spearheaded by Ten Senses Africa with the support of the European Union and Slovak Aid.
They were impressed with the progress made. Over 820,000 high yielding cashew seedlings have been distributed to 15,000 cashew farmers, majority of being women. Additionally, TSA Cashew processing plant is in its final stages of completion and is expected to not only create a reliable market for the farmers in Kwale, Kilifi and Lamu but also 300-500 direct jobs at the plant

Retraining and reskilling of field officers is a regular activity to equip them with new ideas to better serve our small holder farmers. Funded by European Union, Ten Senses is implementing cashew nut value chain project giving direct market access to over 15,000 small holder farmers and 150 schools at the Kenyan Coast.
