So 2024 has brought out your inner bookkeeping Nija or more likely you've decided that after your 60 hour week making money, you don't want to spend your weekends and evenings trying to account for the stuff ..........................

................. either way, Xero or QBO will save hour's and hour's of manually inputting supplier bill's so you get your evenings and weekends back (or at least some of them) or you save money by paying your bookkeeper for less hours (why are you paying by the hour 😔 ... opps different post 😅)

So 2024 is the year you're going to tame your bookkeeping (and show the number cruncher whats what) but the men down the pub are arguing about what's best ........

.... and the answer is GSheets (Only kidding) 🤫

Both hashtag and hashtag are great but of all the bells and whistles the most best 😁 is that you can give your accountant access to see the same info as you and give advice right there and then on the phone...... from the comfort of your home office (or pub) ......

... and if your accountant has made it into the 2020's 👋 you can call them 'out of hours' and not have to talk twenty to the dozen as their charging you for every 6 minutes .... or part thereof 🤫

PDF or .csv the eternal question (Honest .... but we don't get out much)

So if you find that you are

- years behind with your numbers (Yes, we know that time flies by)

- with no bookkeeping at all (Yes, Xero and QBO can seem like a foreign Language)

- you have online bank access but can only download PDF files (Yes, HSBC we are talking about some of your accounts)

and you wonder why your saviour accountant (well we would say that) goes pale when you let the cat out the bag that you can only send PDF's (or a bag of water damaged paper work that you 'filed' in the garage),

or you go pale when they let you know how long it's going to take to manually extract all the transactions .......

Even better just use a bank that lets you download transactions as a .csv for long long periods (sorry Llyods and your 3 month at a time) like say Revolut who can open an account in Days rather than weeks
